A Feminine Take on The Overall Trend

I was really hoping to have enough time this past week to deliver an IF:Gathering recap for y’all on the blog today, but it didn’t happen. I think sometimes (okay…all the time!) I get a little too excited with all the content I’m hoping to share with y’all that I fail to realize what I can actually get done in a day. No matter how hard I try to properly…

20 Things To Do Before Summer Ends

The end of summer is always bittersweet, isn’t it? Summer is just a happy time in general and it’s sad to see it go, but it’s always good to feel (especially in Texas weather)—fall arrive. I’m sure I’ll be dreaming of warm, care-free days come November though, so I’ve been doing my best to savor the end of summer. I went on a picnic with a girlfriend recently and it was…

Capri City Guide

Y'all, I'm finally getting to my Capri guide! I posted about this Italy trip a while back, but had so much information that I wanted to share, hence this taking some time. Capri is a postcard destination and just as unbelievable as the Pinterest images. I did a LOT in my short time there, and I hope this guide helps for anyone planning a trip to Capri!

All About My Hair Extensions [Update: Don’t Have Anymore]

Some of you might have missed me snapping and instagram-ing about it, but I got "permanent" hair extensions a few weeks ago. And I promised to answer ALL your questions about them and give you the scoop on what I'm thinking, how things are different with them, and how I'm getting used to them!

Summer Utility Vest

Did you guys see my Banff City Guide yesterday? This was one of the many outfits (I understand I have a problem with over-packing, OK) I wore during my time there, and an outfit I continuously love on in some variety. Utility vests are one of the most versatile things, especially when traveling…and I’m now realizing I need to do a post on all the ways I wear this vest…

Where to Grab Wine with a View in Positano

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my absolute FAVORITE things to do in a new (or old) city is to visit the best and most talked-about hotels and restaurants (preferably with a view) for a glass of wine. Oftentimes these spots are ridiculously priced, so I’ll keep it at just a glass of vino (or possibly some appetizers), but if anything I just love seeing the view and checking out…

Drinks at JK Place Capri

I read somewhere that JK Place Capri was a good place to grab drinks while visiting the island, so I added it to the list. Another one of my favorite things to do while traveling the nice hotels in the area – I love seeing how they’re laid out and decorated. And plus, I’ll never turn down a fancy glass of wine on a cozy couch with a swoon-worthy view!…

Let’s Chat More, Shall We?

I had every intention of dreaming up something interesting to talk about in today’s blog post and then writing it last night, but Bryan (if you’re new, he’s my boyfriend and I usually call him “B”) had other plans. We’ve both been pretty busy this week and haven’t gotten to spend much time together, so he sort of just showed up circa 7 last night and declared I was done…

Rose at Caesar Augustus in Anacapri

One of our Australian friends told us that while in Capri, we HAD to head up to Anacapri and have lunch by the pool at Hotel Caesar Augustus. So naturally, I added it to the forever-growing list of things I wanted to eventually do and see in Capri. And despite the fact that I had 2 full days and 3 nights on the island, I can’t wait to go BACK…

How To Make The Most Of Your Capri Boat Tour

If you’re planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast (or just Capri Island), then you have GOT to go on a private boat tour during your trip. In my opinion, it is well worth the money! In fact, my time on the boat was probably my absolute favorite thing I did throughout my entire trip. And like I mentioned in my last post, I went on 4 different boat tours…

Gardens and Lemons in Capri, Italy

Hi there, friends! I’m back again with another day exploring the beautiful island of Capri! I know a lot of people make Capri a quick little visit but I really think you could spend an entire week there and have a FULL itinerary. There’s so much to do and it’s just all so beautiful – you almost NEED the time to soak it all in. We spent the 2nd day in…

Boating in Capri, Italy

Y'all, boats are my JAM. I can't think of any activity that makes me happier than a sunny boat ride. I mean, that's literally THE LIFE. #Confessions. No joke, I went on 4 different boat rides during my most recent trip to the Amalfi coast. Because y'all, it's just too good and if I had more time I probably would have done a few more. Not only do I love seeing all the beauty of the coast, but I just LOVE being on a boat in general. The only thing that would have made my Italian boat rides more enjoyable would have been a set of XL speakers for some sunshine jams :)

What to Wear in Italy in June

If you've ever wondered what you should wear in Italy in June, I've got you covered with today's outfit! Something similar to this little number will for sure be a WINNING combo to sport strolling down the streets of Italy in June. It's usually pretty warm and so you'll want to stick to something sleeveless and if you're doing a lot of walking, you'll for sure want to wear something light and airy so you don't have to worry about sweating. Also, flats are a MUST - at least for daytime!

Capri Day One

As I mentioned in my last post about my favorite ways to experience a new city, the first thing I always do is aimlessly wander to get a feel for where everything is. We got to Capri mid-afternoon and the first thing we did was head into town and walk around – taking it all in. I’m sure you’ve heard it before – or perhaps you’ve experienced it for yourself…

4 Ways I Love To Experience A New City

Anytime I'm new to a city or place I like to spend the first day (or at least a few hours) just aimlessly walking around to try and familiarize myself a little with the new surroundings. Plus, I'm usually able to get a good "feel" for the new place and figure out what I want to revisit or go back and see. If I already have a list of places I want to see or things to do, I like to pinpoint how I'm going to lay out the next few days depending on where everything is located. But I like to physically walk around and get a feel for it (assuming it's not a huge city like NYC or something) rather than merely looking at a 2D map. I think it's safe to say that everyone does something sort of similar when traveling to new places.

Positano to Ischia in Striped Linen

Hi friends, happy Monday! Today I’m giving you a little peek into the fabulous resort I stayed at for a few nights last week. It’s called San Montano and it’s located in one of the little Islands off the coast of Italy called Ischia. I cannot say enough about this place – it was AHH-mazing! And we ALL wished we could have spent more time there and were so sad…

Plunging Back Dress for Spring Date Night

This dress is a must have for a romantic date night!! The plunging back makes this dress flirty and sassy while keeping a modest length. I love the lace insets, it’s a small detail that makes the dress look dainty and enhances the light and airy feel. It really is the best of both worlds sexy and chic for any spring night!
