One of our Australian friends told us that while in Capri, we HAD to head up to Anacapri and have lunch by the pool at Hotel Caesar Augustus. So naturally, I added it to the forever-growing list of things I wanted to eventually do and see in Capri. And despite the fact that I had 2 full days and 3 nights on the island, I can’t wait to go BACK because I only got halfway down the list :) And plus, it’s just too good not to visit again!

It was STORMING (like craziness) on the last full day we had in Capri, but we were determined to trek through it and make it up to the top of the mountain, which is called Anacapri; it was well worth it! Plus the rain cleared up once we got up there!. FYI – there’s a bus that comes every 20 minutes and so and takes you right up there. Once you get off the bus, you head back down the road (yes, you’re sort of back-tracking a little) for about 300 feet and then you’ll run into the beautiful yellow buildings that make up Cesar Augustus.

The view from up there is SO amazing; it is sure to take your breath away and the photos in this post really don’t even do it justice. So needless to say, if you’re ever in Capri and have time to head to the top of the mountain, I would FOR SURE make sure you make at stop at Hotel Caesar Augustus in Anacapri – you won’t be disappointed!
