Wow! What a week! This past week was the first week of my new job, so things have been a little different for me. And by different, I mean crazy busy! But definitely in a good way. The good news is that I LOVE my job so far and I love who I’m working with even more -being in good company can make any job enjoyable. Don’t you think?

As much as I complain about my chosen career path (accounting), I have to admit that there’s just something about it that keeps me coming back for more…..maybe it’s the stability, the brain stimulation, the challenge, the mundane, yet predictable routine of it all…..or just the beauty of debits and credits (ha!), but it really is something I enjoy in a weird way.  I actually loved my internship this past summer at a CPA firm, despite the fact that I often worked long hours. And now with this new job, I’ve had a nice breath of fresh air this past week to remind me once again that maybe this decision wasn’t such a terrible one. It’s the school part of the career that is the worst and makes being an accountant seem so horrible and boring….the textbooks, 4-hour-long-multiple-part problems and the tests really don’t portray the profession in the best light. And given the fact that this is all I’ve known since starting my senior year in August…you can understand my frustrations. Or maybe not? haha

As I have started to learn my way around these blogging waters, I have “met” so many amazing ladies with extraordinary blogs. I’m brainstorming different ways that I can introduce some of them to you all, but for now, I’ll just randomly mention some (just a few!) of my favorites. While I was in NYC for IFB, I had the opportunity to meet the lovely McKenzie Horan of Design Darling. And I must say, her blog is so adorable and if you haven’t given it a visit, you most definitely should, especially since she just launched her new boutique.

Have you ever visited Luella & June? I’m obsessed and definitely visit the blog every day to get my daily dose of whatever Bradley and Alison are loving/interested in at the moment (especially their “what I love right now” posts!)

PS: My mom (dee keller if you’re new to this blog) was in the local newspaper (The Advocate) yesterday! Woop Woop!

Pss: remember that Yellow Lace Dress I mentioned in my post yesterday? Yea, so I got home from a long day today and saw the SAME dress sitting on the dining room table. As it turns out, my mom had bought that dress!
