As my workload escalates, I don’t think I’ll be able to provide as many typographic images each Tuesday. Despite what you may think (that picking out pretty poster/images is easy!), it actually is one of the most time-consuming posts I do each week. It takes me forever to find the images I want to feature, and then even longer when I decide to make them myself. On top of that, I usually try and contact the artist/source to get their permission in some way or another. And when I create them, the hardest part is finding the inspiration – the image or quote that inspires me to create my own typographic image. But Tuesdays are still one of my favorite days of the week because I get to share my recent inspirations and typographic loves, so you won’t have to worry about Typography Tuesdays going anywhere.

On a side note, I spent several (like way too many) hours trying to figure out this whole server/web hosting thing. Since BrightonTheDay has been around for almost 5 months now, it has grown a tremendous amount in traffic and archives alike.  One thing I’ve been concerned about lately is the speed of the website, so I spent most of my time working on optimizing the site so that it will load quicker for you all. Additionally, I had to get my own private server (crazy!) so that I wouldn’t use too much of the “shared” server. Whew! So, needless to say, I didn’t really get to dive into this stack of papers (aka reading for my Advanced Accounting Final that you might have already seen via my Instagram…)
