I think we’ve all grown to love a good sweatsuit during the pandemic. With more of us working from home, it’s so much easier to throw on a comfortable sweatsuit than something more business casual. I don’t know about you, but on the days I’m not shooting, I pretty much live in comfortable clothing, and this Spanx sweatsuit is my absolute go-to outfit. (You can see my mom loves it too!)

I feel like I’ve shared it 100 times on IG but since I haven’t given it its own spot on the blog, I figured it was about time. So what makes this sweatsuit different than the others I’ve shared in the past?

In my opinion, it all comes down to the material, a highly-cushioned spacer fabric, according to their website. They actually call this fabric “light as air,” which I totally agree with. It’s lightweight, luxuriously soft, and super stretchable. Plus, because it’s made by Spanx, it’s extremely flattering too!

I can’t talk enough about how soft this set is. It literally feels like velvet against my skin! And I love that it doesn’t pill whenever you wash it like a lot of sweatpants and sweatshirts do — I swear it actually gets softer with every wash.

Another thing I love about this set is that you can choose from either a tapered leg or wide-leg pants option. I personally bought both because I love them so much and I think each creates a totally different look. Oddly, I think the wide-leg pants option looks a bit “dressier” (if you can even call sweatpants dressy!?). I actually wore them while traveling to Aspen recently and they were perfect for the plane ride!

The tapered pants feel a little more sporty and like something I’d wear while on my daily walk or when running an errand. Both are SUPER comfy though! Oh, also, added bonus, both pairs of pants come in petite sizing so they actually fit us shorter girls.

If you’ve been on the fence about this sweatsuit, I truly can’t praise it enough. It’s rare I find a sweatsuit that calls out to me so much but this one gets worn basically every other day. Plus, because it’s made by Spanx, you know it will last for a long time so it’s truly worth every penny!
