The Current Go-To Cream Blush I Can’t Quit

Y’all, I don’t know how I didn’t try cream blush until I was in my 30s but holy cow. I’ve been missing OUT. I’ve always used powder blush, and there are still several powder blushes I really love, but I am here for the cream blush these days.

The first cream blush I tried was the ILIA multi-stick, which can be used as a lip, cheek, and eye tint. I personally use it for blush most often, but I also apply it to my lips regularly and the color looks so good. My go-to color has been Dreamer, but there are several others I also want to try for different times of the year.

Multi-Stick Lip, Cheek & Eye Tint

One of my greatest discoveries in the past year is cream blush — specifically, the ILIA Multi-Stick Lip, Cheek & Eye Tint. I use it mostly for my cheeks, but the color also looks really good on my lips. It’s a great solution when I’m in a hurry or just don’t have the energy (hello, pregnancy) to use multiple products.

As blush, I feel like it blends on reallyyyy well and is super easy to apply. I use the smallest Artis makeup brush (you can see my full review of the Artis makeup brushes here) to blend the cream. You could also use your finger or another type of buffing brush if you wanted.

The Dreamer tint looks really natural and gives my cheeks just the right amount of color. It also lasts a long time. If I apply it in the morning, I’ll definitely still notice it on my cheeks by the end of the day.

I think the biggest difference I’ve noticed between cream blush and powder blush is that cream blush gives me a dewy finish, whereas powder blush is a lot more matte. I apply the blush over my Chanel cream bronzer that I use to contour. (You can check out my easy everyday makeup routine here.)

The other thing I really love about this cream blush is that it’s made from organic ingredients like shea butter, avocado oil, and vitamin E, so it’s moisturizing and the texture literally feels like butter. It’s also free of all kinds of ingredients that you don’t want in your lipstick — super important to me when I’m pregnant. And it’s cruelty-free!

Alright, I’ll stop going on about this blush, but I honestly can’t recommend it enough… especially if you’re a makeup minimalist like me. The packaging is nice and small too so you could through this in any size bag and you’re covered for blush, lip, and eye retouches throughout the day (but you truly don’t need them with this!).
