FRIDAY FIVE: JANUARY 25

Although I had high hopes and good intentions for the Friday Five series, I’m thinking that I’ll have to put that one on hold until after “busy season”.  Because who am I kidding? I barely have time to check the news (I watch it while I get ready/eat though!), much less peruse the webs and/or do anything throughout the week worth discussing. So for now, the series might be a little sporadic and/or skimpy at best. I just wanted to put in a little disclaimer in case I’m not able to get to it during this crazy time!

This week, though, I managed to jot down/bookmark some awesomeness – I just didn’t have time to make the graphic I’ve made for the past 2 weeks. Anyway, here’s my list :)

don't waste one more minute comparing yourself to other people. this journey is yours alone. god needs YOU to fulfill your purpose...not to try to fulfill someone else's

1. This inspiring hand-written quote/note demanding we stop comparing ourselves (via Courtney Walsh’s blog)

Take Time

2. Sarah announced on Monday in her Words For The Week post that she is starting a new advice column, where she plans to answer reader questions about branding and design. She has such a wealth of knowledge AND experience – I’m looking forward to reading her insights.

Emerald Green

3. I wish I had somewhere to wear this FAB outfit – just something about it is so different and awesome and I LOVE the emerald green and unexpected grandness (did I made that word up?) of the skirt. (linked to original source)

valentines day

4. I could just buy everything that Sugar Paper Los Angeles makes – really! It’s all so stinking cute! With Valentines day coming up around the corner, I wanted to see what they had up their sleeve. And sure enough, the cards are cuter than ever.

5. I’ve been fully utilizing my Spotify account and have finally got a nice little archive of playlists I’m working on. Are any of you on Spotify and have some good playlists going? Lately, I’ve been loving my “Morning Movements” (embedded below) playlist for waking up and getting ready each morning and my “Ignited Indifference” playlist for traveling and just in general.
