Mixing Patterns: Polka Dots + Cheetah

The Outfit: Shirt & Sweater: J. Crew — Polka Dot Blue Blouse & Leopard Cardigan
Shoes: Dee Keller “The Mary Jane” (e-mail me if you’re interested in ordering – they should take about 8 weeks to get in)
Gold Bracelets: J. Crew Bangles & Family Piece (green) | Necklace: Anthropologie  | Watch: Michael Kors

Mixing prints is super fun, but it doesn’t really come very easily to me. I think it’s kind of hard! But one thing I’ve realized is that it’s best to mix and match contrasting colors. However, I don’t necessarily think the prints have to be different (polka dot on polka dots is pretty cute), so don’t feel limited when it comes to mixing similar checks, stripes, etc. These shoes I have on are some of my absolute favorite from the DK collection – they are super comfortable and cute and have been a big hit! Dee told me yesterday that she plans on making this shoe every season – it’s one of her absolute favorites too! I had to literally take them off her feet for this post…haha

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!
