Hi! How was your weekend? I hope it was a good one and that you survived the heat in some way or another. I don’t know about you, but unless I’m in the pool or moving quickly in and out of my car, I usually cling to AC-only spaces. July and August (and sometimes June) are almost unbearable down here! Anyway, enough about that. For some reason that I honestly can’t put my finger on, I was randomly inspired by the bright & cheery hue we like to call Yellow: mustard yellow, sunshine yellow, whatever-you-want. There’s just something about it that “Brightons” my day…as cheesy as that sounds.

I love the unexpected pop of yellow in the living room featured above from the Beaux Arts Mansion in St. Louis.  And the yellow bow tie is actually a napkin from a Martha Stewart wedding place set: how cute and creative, right? I’m also loving this Life What You Love print from Hearfish Press on Etsy….

I’m thinking about starting a “COLOR COLLECTIVE” series of some sort where I would feature a different color each week or maybe every other week…kind of like Typography Tuesday. What do you think? It wouldn’t necessarily be in a certain format (e.g. a mood board like above or a collage of clothing & accessories, etc), but it would be color-inspired. Let me know what you think!
