This past weekend was A LOT. It was exhausting. Hectic. Stressful. And expensive. I’d say it was definitely a milestone of my 20s in that it was the first big “thing” (in this case, moving out of a house- not an apartment. Very different!) that I took into my own hands. Or at least I had every intention to handle it all on my own. By Sunday at 3:00 pm, I had to call my parents for help on a few things- I’m so thankful they were able to help me finish everything and clear up outstanding “rental” issues. (…cough…landlord stuff)

What did I learn? Moving is a big event. Before actually moving, you should be packed. But really though. 100% packed – in boxes. (Duh. But I didn’t finish packing and didn’t think it would be that big of a deal- well it was!). You should have a list of all the “big” things. You should label your boxes. Have a plan. Be ready to clean. And try and spread it out over a few days if you can. Lastly, budget for moving supplies, a U-hual, and some help!

Anyway, needless to say, I wasn’t up to much more than moving and cleaning this weekend. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hopefully steered clear of this heat!
