What to Wear with a Jean Jacket
Jean jackets are a staple that have been in and out of the fashion game for decades, but they seem to be here to stay. They’re versatile, comfy, and you can find options in all different price ranges (plus you don’t have to spend a ton to get a great one!). They sometimes get a bad rep, but I think that’s just because not everyone knows what to wear with a jean jacket. But if you learn how to style them and wear them with different looks, they become a go-to when you want another layer.
I personally wear my jean jacket ALL the time and pair it with just about anything. I do have some general ideas and outfits of when I think jean jackets work best, though. If I’m wearing all dark colors with boots, a jean jacket is the perfect item to make the outfit feel more light. In that case, a leather or other dark jacket might make the look a bit too urban for my style. I also love a good jean jacket outfit with a summer dress or when I want to make an office style look have more of a laid back vibe.
This denim jacket outfit here is an example of how I like to spice up an outfit of all basics (my FAVORITE thing to do if you haven’t noticed?!).
The jean jacket just makes this look (and me, let’s be real) feel cool. A blazer or pea coat would have made this outfit look preppy, but I wanted something lived in. I also love the contrast of the stark white shirt with the deep denim. I save my lighter denim to make a summer dress look on-trend and cute.
How do y’all like to style a jean jacket?
