Weekend Brunch Looks

The sun is shining and the temps are rising – we know what that means, ladies…Saturday and Sunday brunch, so find your favorite patio and order those mimosas! Ha! I love the emergence of spring in Texas because these are the few weeks we have that it’s not SCORCHING hot before summer hits. If you live anywhere other than Texas, you can probably wear the longer sleeved looks for while until your summer begins in July, but I digress…

I also love spring because all the pastels, ruffles and fun prints are on trend and those items are just so fun to style! I have styled 7 looks below that are fancy enough to head to a nice brunch with your friends, but not too stuffy to where you will feel uncomfortable after eating chicken & waffles, YUM!

Easy Mini Dress

I wanted to restyle a dress that I suggested in last week’s date night outfit ideas because –  a) because I love this pattern and b) because I am trying to really live by the mentality that you can reuse items in your closet and don’t have to buy something new every time you want to style a new outfit.

I went for a more casual vibe with this look by adding sneakers (my fave!) and tieing the denim jacket around my waist – so easy! I also featured the cute top handled crossbody bag in my recent crossbody shopping post!

Other options:

Rails Angelina Dress (I got a size XS)

Texture & Thread Short-Sleeve Side Tie Dress (I got a size XS)

Or for a more cost-friendly option, I came across this SUPER cute (very similar) option at Old Navy that would be adorable for brunch!

Statement Top

I have had this top on my hands for a few weeks now and I just now figured out what I wanted to style it with. Of course, you could go the simple route & style it with dark wash jeans or even white jeans, but for a change of pace – I went with crisp white shorts! The tailored fit of these shorts pairs so well with the over the top statement details on this shirt & of course I had to pair the look with my favorite style of wedges & a straw bag! Perfect for brunch in the city OR the beach!

High-Waisted Skirt

This smocked trend is really growing on me guys, how do you feel about it? I love it because it kind of camouflages any bloating you might have from a big brunch or that time of the month (ugh!) and that is something I can get behind! I styled this skirt (which also comes in white) with a chambray top tied into a knot (can also just tuck the top in) and my favorite pair of wedges (I am too obsessed with these, sorry y’all).

Feminine Jumpsuit/Dress

Keeping it simple with a one item statement piece (you can wear with or without the denim jacket). I love this brand’s pajama options so when I saw this jumpsuit for a casual look – you know I had to snag it! It is so comfy, so you won’t be feeling like you can’t wait to go home and change after brunch! Pair it with the comfiest pair of tan wedges & a matching bag (LOVE the wooden handled details) and you’re set!

Also love this option:

Gal Meets Glam Gingham Halter Dress

High-Waisted Trousers

Again, these pants by this brand are SO COMFY! They are super soft and don’t cling weirdly in the heat and are pretty roomy so you can eat as much eggs benedict as your little heart desires. Love pairing the pants with this comfy bodysuit (also comes in black!) and this super fun netted bag (which is available in orange, too)!

Midi Dress

I styled this dress two ways (see the other way I styled this dress with white sandals and a matching bag) but this look is my favorite because it takes the dressy-ness of this dress down a knotch. I know that having a dress that can go casual or dressed up is like finding gold in your closet! Two looks in one?! Sign me up!

Kimono

Lastly, I wanted to go a bit more casual and give room for you to really show off your style preferences by picking the kimono of your choice! I love this one because of the classy but not silly print and how well it could pair with a pink, black or white cami. I styled the look with my favorite shorts (you could do jeans for a chillier day) and a pair of platform wedges that elongate your legs. Love it!
