Blush Duster

Anytime I find something in this pretty blush pink color (and I like it, obviously) I try and snag it if I can - I just can’t get enough of it in my wardrobe. I love mixing and pairing blush with other neutrals for soft looks (especially monochromatic looks!) but I also love pairing it with darker hues like black and tan or even purple or red (I could go on…). It’s one of my favorite colors to wear BUT it has to be the right shade of pink or else it will wash me out. Anyway, I had this duster jacket in my shopping cart within seconds of seeing it and literally checked out right that second because I knew it was going to be super popular. In other words, it was most certainly LOVE at first sight with this piece - talk about a fun one to mix and match for different looks!

Neutral Stripes

I loved the not-as-basic color combo of this stripe tee. I guess I'm used to seeing black and white stripes (or navy or even grey), but it's not everyday that you see this taupe-ish color right? And I absolutely love how it looks with white jeans but I've also worn it with dark denim too and it looks just as cute. I added the chambray shirt because it's that awkward time of year where it's not quite Spring, but winter is definitely in the rear view mirror (at least down here in Texas). And so you never know if you'll need an extra layer or not since it tends to get chilly at night and windier than usual. And plus, I wanted to show you yet another way that you can wear your button up chambray shirt (as a light jacket).

The Tunic Sweater

Good news, friends! I’ve found the perfect tunic sweater to wear with leggings for comfy and casual OR with jeans and heels if you’re looking to dress it up! And guess who bought it in multiple colors? ME. Of course I did – I always do that… I love it when my tops fit a little longer – either overall or even just in back (when there’s a hi-lo hem). That…

Red Plaid Scarf

Now that we are fully into the holiday season, I think incorporating red in any and every way possible is socially acceptable and even sometimes expected! Am I right?! And this red plaid scarf adds JUST the right amount of holiday cheer - especially when paired with this red and white striped tee. Right?! Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's just something about wearing red during this time of year that just feels (and looks) on cue. As such, I try to add a little bit of festive flair in any and every way I can during these few weeks leading up to Christmas. In this outfit, I added a touch of red and white stripes under this navy sweater to jazz things up. I've been really enjoying playing around with different colored stripes and layering them different ways. I just added these red stripes to my collection and think it's a necessary holiday staple. Do you have red and white stripes in your wardrobe? If so, what's your favorite way to wear/layer them?!

Winter Pastels: Blush Turtleneck Sweater

There’s something about sporting pastels in winter that makes me feel both rebellious and classic at the same time – especially when paired with white jeans. I love how chic and simple white jeans look with tall boots (both suede and leather) and I especially love wearing white in the winter  with similar creams, neutrals or pastel hues. I got this turtleneck sweater in two different colors because I love how…

Missguided White Denim

When it comes to denim, I say the no-white-after-labor-day rule should be thrown out the window. I’m sure you’ve noticed that nobody really follows that rule anyway – it’s pretty silly if you ask me. Don’t you agree? I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of distressed white denim for a while now but haven’t been able to find a pair that I like. If you’ve been following for…
