My Favorite Trends in Workwear Right Now

Hi friends, happy Saturday! I know it’s ironic that I’m bringing a workwear look to y’all on the weekend but I wanted to be sure to get you something before the wedding and honeymoon. I know I hear from a lot of y’all that winter is the hardest season to dress for workwear because it’s just not…fun. Also, it’s hard to keep warm (which now I totally understand living in Denver). So with that, I’m going to cover some trends that I’m loving in workwear right now!

Gotta be honest, I LOVE how this outfit came out. Y’all know I don’t have a traditional job but if I did, I’d be wearing this like tomorrow! Hopefully it’s transitional enough to work for y’all depending on what type of job you have and it would look cute with flats as well if you’re not a heels girl.

Nordstrom is carrying ALL of these trends right now which I love! Y’all know I do so much of my shopping at Nordstrom and I especially love that you can get everything in one place. I also always appreciate their free tailoring since I’m short and trousers usually need to be hemmed (sometimes coats, too!) because it makes all the difference in how workwear looks. From plaid to belted trousers and accessories, here are my fave trends of the moment:

Long Coats

I am LOVING how chic of a trend this is! We used to just see trench coats that were this length, but now it’s all styles and I think it’s such an elegant look. A wrap version is great for winter since it’s flattering and also warmer. My coat that I’m wearing in these photos is actually pretty warm and it comes in several colors.

Plaid

This isn’t groundbreaking but I’m very into plaid still. I think it’s a cute classic look when done in a blazer or trousers like these that I’m wearing here.

Hair Accessories

Y’all know I love a little something extra and while it’s usually jewelry, hair accessories are a fun way to switch things up. They can still look professional when done right but add some sass to the look too. I personally think pearls are always a classy choice so that’s what I went for with my headband. The pearl barrettes below are super cute as well!

Belted trousers

I am SO happy that ugly workwear pants have been replaced with the chicer version of belted trousers. These are all kinds of flattering and I love that you can easily tuck sweaters or tops in for work.

What other trends are y’all loving with workwear? Let me know!
