If y’all have seen my IG stories over the last week or so, you know I’m doing a MAJOR bathroom cleanout. I was actually kind of embarrassed to put it out for the world because I know it’s out of control and excessive, but y’all have to remember that a lot of it is for work. I’m constantly being sent or buying new products to try them out, and then share with YOU. So while I am 100% owning up to it, I felt like I had to throw that out there so you don’t think I’m a total crazy person.

I’m trying my best to eliminate (aka donate) EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT that doesn’t totally rule or that I haven’t used for a while – which means it probably doesn’t. Especially with makeup, there are always SO many new products that are just MEH or don’t match my skin perfectly…yet I’ve been holding on to them, until now. It feels so freaking fantastic doing a purge, but I still have my work cut out for me. But anyways, this purge has also reminded me that I need to do a better job at sharing the products that I love. The ones that stand out among the other 10 like it in my drawers and the products that I’m holding on to. So stay tuned for more of this (maybe a series??), but for now, let’s talk about foundation, k?

I recently got Laura Mercier’s newest foundation called ‘Flawless Lumiere Radiance-Perfecting Foundation‘ (I’m shade 2N2) and just WOW. I’ll be honest that I had the opportunity to try this for free, but I’ve been using Laura Mercier for years and usually love her products. I also have her setting powder, tinted moisturizer w/ SPF (the BEST!), and radiance primer which are all fantastic, but for now, I just want to chat about the foundation!

If you know me, you know I’m incredibly picky about foundation. I hate wearing too much makeup, don’t like spending a lot of time on it, and have a continuous red nose that I’m always trying to cover. So basically I’m always looking for that perfect coverage foundation that doesn’t feel too heavy, even during winter. Well friends, Laura Mercier’s Flawless Lumiere Radiance-Perfecting Foundation IS IT. It’s actually been a while since I loved a foundation this much!

The first time I put it on, I was kind of blown away at how little I needed to use to provide good coverage. It was like looking at my skin (without that gross residue some foundation leaves), but the best-skin-of-my-life skin if you know what I mean? I tried it a few more times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Guess what? It wasn’t! It’s pretty much all I’ve been wearing over the past 2 weeks and I appreciate that it makes me look brightened, too. You know that bright-from-within look? Yep, this stuff does that – even without a primer first. But it’s matte at the same time, not shiny! My favorite kind of combo for face makeup!

Apparently, I’m not the only one who loves this stuff either. I actually looked at the reviews on several sites like Nordstrom (where I buy or pick up the majority of my beauty stuff) and people are loving this stuff. The inventory for beauty is amazing but mainly I like going in and trying everything in person. At Nordstrom, the beauty counters just feel fun and fancy and personal and it’s kinda my favorite. Plus, you can always bring something back if you don’t like it which I think is crucial when trying new makeup.

So that’s about it – just wanted to share this new product that is surviving the bathroom purge LOL! I realized that I’m actually keeping every single Laura Mercier product that I own (except for a couple of containers that were almost out, but I’m replacing them).
