When we went on our road trip through the Northeast (post coming soon!), we were lucky enough to work with Land Rover and drive one the whole time. And no matter what car you’re driving, if you’re making a trip up to Vermont or the Northeast in general, you’ve GOT to make a stop in Manchester, VT. We spent a whole day with the Land Rover team here and it was BEYOND COMPARE. I loved it! Basically they put on something called Land Rover Driving School (4 places in North America) where they teach you how to drive the vehicles and show you all the crazy stuff they can do.

I’ve always thought Range Rovers were just beautiful, cool cars, but turns out they can actually do SO much. We got to start by choosing which car we wanted to drive between all their newest models. I chose to drive the Range Rover 2017 because that’s my absolute dream car and I LOVE how they drive – so smooth and luxurious compared to the sport and LR4 (to each their own though, right?).

I got a much deeper appreciation for Land Rover as a brand and the technology behind the functioning of the car during the class. It’s crazy to hear about what goes into making a car since when you’re driving one you kinda take that for granted. We learned about everything from suspensions to tires, but in such a cool way! I felt like I was back in school again but in a good, interested way, ha.

Once you learn a bit from instruction, you get to drive – so fun! You start with a customized lesson on an obstacle course and then hit up some trails. We learned techniques of driving on rocky terrain, going up and down hill, and at one point our car was kinda sideways (freaked out a little!) but they teach you how to get through it safely. The instructors were amazing – I felt so safe and always learned tips that I can use in the future when driving, which is just cool.

I think what I was most shocked about was how little I actually had to do and how much the car actually did FOR me (when I handled it correctly – thanks to the seasoned driving teaching). The whole car drove so well, plus the interior was comfy, and the outside gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend checking out one of these schools if you are ever near one. Or what a cool present for someone who loves cars?

It definitely confirmed that I NEED a Range Rover in my life. Can I add this to my Christmas list…?

While out there, our driver put the car in some pretty crazy situations to help us get the best photos lol and this was one of them – I would have been FREAKING out but it made for a good photo, right?! ha!

After our little driving lesson, our teacher was kind enough to show us a few cool spots around Manchester! We went up to the top of Mount Equinox and got to see those beautiful views (OMG so pretty!) and then he showed us a few pretty covered bridges around town! Lisel and I hopped out to get a few outfit photos of at one our favorite covered bridges!

I’ve been wanting a navy barbour jacket for YEARS now and used our little NE Roadtrip as the perfect excuse to go ahead and pull the trigger and get one. And Y’all. I LOVE It. It’s so perfect and also looks really cute with white jeans too (can’t wait to style it with some soon!). Anyone else a major Barbour fan girl like me?! I just think they’re SO timeless and FINE looking.
