When in Vail for my sister’s bachelorette weekend, I had to quickly figure out how to dress for winter. As a southern girl from Louisiana (and now living in Texas), it’s not too often that I have to dress for temperatures below 40 degrees. And even when I do, I know that the ‘cold front’ shouldn’t last too terribly long. But when I was  in Colorado a few weeks ago, I had to adapt – obviously.

This outfit was perfect for the night we went out in the city for dinner because it was warm enough for the walking we did outside, yet it wasn’t too overly warm for when we were inside. It was the perfect amount of comfortable and dressed up too if you ask me – these boots are comfortable even though they’ve got a heel!

How do you dress for winter and manage to find a good balance between looking cute and staying warm?!
