Winter Boots You Need In Your Closet

Dare I say one of my favorite things about this time of year is busting out the winter boot collection? I love styling boots with jeans, dresses, leggings, etc. I think they’re one of the most versatile items in my closet!

My blog post on how to wear ankle boots is still my most-viewed post of all time. So, clearly y’all love them as much as I do!

When it comes to boots, I try to invest in classic styles I know will last for several years. For instance, this year, I finally bought the Loeffler Randall tall boots that I’ve had my eye on for a while (you can see them in the photo below from when I was pregnant!). These were definitely an investment, but I have zero doubt that I’ll wear them for a long time.

Another thing I look for in boots is quality. I know a lot of stores knock off the high-end boots each season, but in my opinion, it’s a better value to spend a little more to get a boot that will endure the wear and tear of winter. Genuine leather and suede are my two favorite options when it comes to boots and booties.

I also try to diversify the styles in my closet. Knee-high boots are probably my favorite style, but I also have a lot of booties and mid-length options that I can wear with straight-leg jeans and pants that don’t work with taller boots.

I’ve rounded up my favorite boots this season that would complete any closet and wanted to share them with you. All of these are really high quality and will last you for several years — plus, I don’t see any of them going out of style any time soon. You can style these in SO many ways and I have no doubt you’d get plenty of wear out of each of these!

Marc Fisher

Yarita Pointed Toe Bootie

The pointed-toe bootie is so chic in my opinion. I really love the classic silhouette of this boot, and you can’t go wrong with a good black bootie in your closet.

Goldy Tall Boot

Okay, I know the price point is a little high, but bear with me on these. They are EVERYTHING you could look for in a boot. The color, quality, and style are so timeless, and they can be worn with a lot of different looks. I wear them with dresses, jeans, leggings… they’re super versatile!

Izzie Shearling Lace-Up Boot

These might be my most-worn pair of boots. This style became really poplar at the beginning of last year and it’s not gone anywhere since! They’re also extremely comfortable and warm. I bring them to Aspen every time we visit because the shearling keeps me super warm!

Ulani Pointy Toe Bootie

I always like to have a more “formal” looking pair of boots in my closet every year too. These are my favorite to style with dresses or with jeans when I’m wanting to dress up a bit. They have a bit more of a heel too, which I love because they give me a little height! Seriously recommend adding these to your closet.

Laguna Waterproof Lug Sole Chelsea Boot

The first word that comes to mind when I see these boots is “cute.” I honestly love the Chelsea boot trend. It’s honestly not even a trend because it’s been around for so long, but you can’t go wrong with a pair of these boots in your closet. And these feel really high quality too!
