I’m pretty sure I just turned 21 like yesterday, but somehow, someway I am 28 today! It really is crazy how fast time flies as you get older (my dad ALWAYS told me that), but here I am, entering the last couple years of my twenties. Like woah. And I’m actually excited about it y’all! I’m not a huge birthday fan, but in general, I’m feeling good about maturing (kinda lol) and just coming into my own. It makes me only more excited for what’s to come!

Since 28 isn’t a very fun age (in terms of it being kind of a random number), I decided I didn’t want to do anything too big, but I did want to celebrate in a way that I was excited about aka eating and drinking, duh. I’d been dying to try Del Frisco’s Grille here in Dallas, so I asked my friend Charli if she wanted to come help celebrate. I’d heard really good things about the newly updated menu and bar list, not to mention the setting, so we were sups excited to try! And since it was for my bday, y’all know I had to try just about everything (as you can see from the amount of plates on the table LOL). The servers just kept coming and laughing at us for ordering so much.

I couldn’t help myself, but whatevs, it was my present to myself! A few things you HAVE to try when you go: Baby Back Ribs, pan-seared scallops (OH MY GOD GOOD), truffled mac n cheese duh, and even the wedge was one of the best everrrr. I’m literally hungry typing this out LOL – I want to go back right now!

A friend had told me that Del Frisco’s Grille was lively and inviting, and that sounded good for the celebration. I didn’t want anything too stuffy ya know? It’s so not me. The ambiance definitely didn’t disappoint and I loved the industrial vibes! The bartenders were SO amazing and we tried a ton of hand-crafted cocktails (maybe one too many lol but #birthday). The tables are communal, so it was fun to chat with other restaurant goes and just mingle. Everyone was really nice about singing to me and all that embarrassing stuff that I secretly love.

And since today is my actual bday, I’m going to attempt to log off of work early, but I wanted to quickly share about Del Frisco’s Grille since I enjoyed the experience SO much! If you’re looking for a place to eat or drink in Dallas, or especially if you have a bday coming up and want a new place to try, y’all know where to go! And invite me, k thx.

Outfit Details: I’m wearing a Cami NYC tank (LOVE) and Sashi necklace.
