The Tunic Sweater

Good news, friends! I’ve found the perfect tunic sweater to wear with leggings for comfy and casual OR with jeans and heels if you’re looking to dress it up! And guess who bought it in multiple colors? ME. Of course I did – I always do that… I love it when my tops fit a little longer – either overall or even just in back (when there’s a hi-lo hem). That…

Holiday Cheer with Joe Fresh

I’m really excited about today’s blog post because it’s something different than my usual outfit posts/product-round-ups. I’m teaming up with Joe Fresh to share one of my holiday traditions. Before delving into the blost post, I want to share a little behind-the-post details that you might find relatable (but really it’s just a nice opportunity for me to pull back the blogger veil for a hot second.) To be completely…

The Coziest Chunky Sweater Ever

Hi friends! Happy Friday EVE! I'm super stoked about today's post because...I freaking love this sweater AND am just as enthusiastic today (as I was the last 58 times) about YOU owning a pair of these leather leggings. I wore this chunky sweater and over the knee boots combo to my birthday dinner last week and got so many compliments! And I just felt GOOD in it because it's so comfy and warm yet also chic and put together looking. Anyway, but THIS SWEATER tho. Can we talk about how freaking it is?! I could for sure-skis LIVE in it (but really tho y'all). And admit it, you totes want to snuggle up in this thing right about now, don't you? Yeah?! KK, that's what I thought. No but really, it's seriously the coziest thing ever. I heart it so much I bought it another color - just got the cream in the mail yesterday and OMG it's just as perfect and pretty. And I hope you don't mind seeing this sweater again (in the cream color!) very soon because it's going to happen (or you're bound to see it all over snapchat 'cause I'll def be wearing it all the timezz) Lastly, I hope you all are on TEAM LIQUID LEGGINGS (aka faux leather leggings) because they're not going anywhere. And yeppp, they're still $28 and avail in all sizes too! Yahoo (#score!) Remember to size up though; I'm wearing size Small.

Winter Pastels: Blush Turtleneck Sweater

There’s something about sporting pastels in winter that makes me feel both rebellious and classic at the same time – especially when paired with white jeans. I love how chic and simple white jeans look with tall boots (both suede and leather) and I especially love wearing white in the winter  with similar creams, neutrals or pastel hues. I got this turtleneck sweater in two different colors because I love how…

Winter Date Night Outfit Ideas

Winter White

There’s something so dreamy about wearing whites and creams (especially together) in the winter time. It’s definitely a statement maker, as most people stick to darker hues, BUT I think it’s winter white is such a GOOD look – especially when dressed up for a snazzy night or date out like I did here. The winter whites look is crisp and clean and classic in all the right ways. In fact, come to think…

Cozy Cream Turtleneck

Is it possible to not love a basic cream turtleneck sweater?! I would argue no...and my closet is clear evidence of that (as I have about 7 similar but very different cream turtleneck sweaters). I loved this one because it fits a little longer (you know I'm always partial to longer fits...bc #duh - I can wear them with leggings!). And I like the curved hem of this one too - it's similar to the one I wore in yesterday's post but a little thicker and a little more 'cozy-looking' if that makes sense? It comes in several colors and is a GREAT bang for you buck ($54). I will say, though, that if you have sensitive skin, it's a little bit itchy. Personally, it didn't really bother me much, but I wore a camisole under it. Anyway, I just wanted to be transparent with you on that in case that's something you're concerned about! Otherwise, it's a GREAT sweater!

Plaid Mini

Tis the season for holiday parties and gift-giving! I've already started receiving holiday party invites, and so it seemed natural to start planning festive looks so you can be well prepared (and inspired) for any upcoming festivities you may have. I hope to do a few different looks this season that will hopefully help you get dressed for your events - wether it be a cocktail party, white-elephant gift exchange with your friends, office holiday party or what have you. And speaking of different "types"/attires of holiday parties, let me know if you have any specific questions (or suggestions for blog content) because I'm shooting more Holiday looks on Thursday. I'm happy to try and cater to your needs if you've already got an idea of what kind of look you'll need. As of now, I plan on shooting fancy-ish looks for cocktail-esque holiday parties and dinners. Okay so now I'll get to THIS outfit - how cute is this red and black high-waisted skirt?! I love the look of the oversized tweed and how vibrant the red is - it's seriously SO perfect for this time of year. Given the event, I feel like I could easily dress it up or down. For instance, I'd dress it up for a work party (or even dinner with friends) with a statement necklace and heels (or with tall boots like above) and I'd dress it down with black tights and flats (or riding boots) for something more casual.

Missguided White Denim

When it comes to denim, I say the no-white-after-labor-day rule should be thrown out the window. I’m sure you’ve noticed that nobody really follows that rule anyway – it’s pretty silly if you ask me. Don’t you agree? I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of distressed white denim for a while now but haven’t been able to find a pair that I like. If you’ve been following for…

More Black and White Stripes…

Pastel Pink and blue

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE these shoes?! Oh wait, yeah. I think I did…like 5 times (exhibit A). But I’m going to say it again. I LOVE these shoes (and apparently I’m not the only one…)! And I don’t just love them because my momma made/designed them (and I personally did all the nitty gritty behind-the-scenes work to bring them to life). No, of course THAT’S not why.  I may…

Apparently I like grey and black…

Kristen Dee Photography This sweater has proved to be QUITE versatile. Something about the way it fits (over-sized, shorter-ish sleeves, a little boxy) ended up ‘working’ with several different outfits (see 2 different looks at end of post). And I also want to wear it with white pants, but I don’t have any here with me in Milan…so I can’t make another look with it until I get home (March!).…

Transitional Look: The Skirt and Sweater Combo

Kristen Dee Photography I totally forgot about this outfit – I’ve had it in my drafts folder for a few weeks and just remembered it as I was searching Nordstrom….and saw that this sweater is now on sale! Grey and Slate

Gosh I love these shoes. I can’t get enough of them – love the color and the shape is just perfect! And also, I’m a huge fan of suede in spring (which is probably not too normal? I feel like people associate suede with fall/winter? but I LOVE). And I’ve been wearing these SO much because this light blue color (did you see this post?) is super versatile and almost…

Hunter Green Wrap Coat

Kristen Dee Photography Somewhere between now and 30 hours from now, between Dallas and Milan…I’ll most likely experience an epic crash. This week has been NON stop…and it’s only Wednesday morning! And honestly, I have no idea if what I packed even makes sense. Ugh,…

Lightweight Easy Sweater

oh, well what do you know? Brighton's wearing an oversized sweater AGAIN. They're my jam and I plan on collecting them until the day I die. So I hope that's cool with you because this is not the end of them either. Did you see my post from last Friday? Yeah, I know - it's basically the same outfit but with different colors. What can I say, it's my go-to. [show_shopthepost_widget id="537699"]
