Season - Winter

Winter gets a bad rep, but I sort of love winter outfits and getting cozy! Though most of my winter outfit ideas are suited for temps in Dallas, you can take hints of my outfits below when styling – no matter where you live. After all, pretty much every gal needs coats, boots, leather leggings (I’ll tell you why below!), and pieces that are easy to layer.

If you’re here looking for winter outfit ideas – you’re likely sick of the same outfit you’ve been wearing over and over right? I get it! Winter outfits get stale if you’re not careful, and I know the season can drag on for what seems like forever! But with the right pieces, I’m confident you can learn to love your winter wardrobe.

3 Staples For Cute Winter Outfits

It’s all about versatile pieces that are comfortable (#life), cozy, and that you can wear in several styles. Here are the essentials I keep in mind when putting together winter outfit ideas…

1. Cute Winter Outfits With Leather leggings

I could write a book on the importance of leather leggings – I’m that obsessed. And winter is my favorite season to wear leather leggings! You know when you’re sick of jeans and want something different? Enter leather leggings! They’re not only freaking comfy, but they look cute under an oversized sweater or coat and paired with ankle boots. They even look cute with sneakers for the warmer winter days. But the point is, you can dress leather leggings up or down depending on where you’re headed – and they’ll be your saving grace when you feel like you have nothing to wear. Bonus points – they really suck you in, which we could all use come December, right?

2. Ankle Boots

Maybe it’s because I love them with leather leggings, but I find myself wearing ankle boots more than anything else in winter. As long as you pair them with thick no-show socks and pants that cover most of your ankle, they are still as cozy as most boots, and they bring LIFE to winter outfits. I like wearing a big sweater with black jeans or leather leggings and black ankle boots to make my legs look long.

3. Transitional Coat

Your go-to coat might look different every year, but I suggest having a couple you love and can wear with everything. My favorites are a neutral peacoat or a teddy coat; I find they go with lots of winter outfits. Find a jacket that you love and that goes with your style – you’ll be glad you did on those cold winter mornings when you don’t want to think about what to wear.
