New Balance Sneakers Review

I’m a big fan of sneakers. If you’ve followed me for any time, you probably know this. Becoming a mom turned me into an even bigger fan because they’re so comfortable to wear when you’re chasing kiddos around.

On a recent shopping trip with my mom, I found a few pairs of New Balance sneakers that I had to leave the store with. I’m glad I did too because I’ve worn them so much since then. When I’m not styling something to share with you, I’m in these sneakers. Period.

So I thought it might be nice to write a review on my recent New Balance sneaker finds. These styles seem to be super popular because every time I try to link them, most of the sizes are sold out. But there are still several places you can snag them, so I’ll be sure to link those options below too!

Do New Balance Sneakers Fit TTS?

In my experience, all of my New Balance sneakers fit true to size. If you’re buying them in the store, I’d recommend trying them on to be sure, but when you’re ordering online, it’s a pretty safe bet to order your normal size. Since these sneakers tend to sell out so quickly (especially the trendy ones!), you may have to opt for men’s sizing. If that’s the case, New Balance put together a super handy conversion chart to help you find your adjusted size.

How Do you clean new balance sneakers?

I’ve been wearing all 3 of these sneakers a lot, so they’ve definitely started to show wear. Washing them is an important step in prolonging their lifespan. To clean your New Balance sneakers, start by removing any loose dirt or debris with a soft-bristled brush or cloth. Then, use a sneaker cleaning solution or a mixture of mild soap and water to gently clean the surface of the shoes. Be sure to avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the material of the sneakers. After cleaning, allow the shoes to air dry in a well-ventilated area. I’ve heard good things about this sneaker cleaner too.

New Balance 550

The 550 is a recent addition to the New Balance lineup, released in 2021. I was actually surprised that this style ended up being my favorite of the three pairs I purchased. From everything I’ve read, the 550s actually tend to be the most trendy New Balance sneaker, and I’m not normally a huge trend follower. But there’s something about this style that just works with everything. I bought them in a baby blue color, but I also loved them in white. To show you just how much I adore this style, I actually bought Four a tiny pair of baby 550s. HAVE YOU SEEN ANYTHING CUTER??

New Balance 57/40

The New Balance 5740 sneakers were my second favorite of the three pairs I bought. These are a recent update to the classic 574 style sneaker but with a sleeker silhouette and updated materials. I personally appreciate the super cushy midsole (it’s giving 90s), but if you’re looking for something a little sleeker, these sneakers might not be for you. I will also note that they’re a bit heavy (I saw on the website that they weigh 14.5 ounces, which is pretty heavy for a shoe!).

New Balance 530

The New Balance 530 sneakers are more of a classic running shoe that has been updated to wear as an everyday shoe. This sneaker is known for its versatility. They can be worn for a range of activities — so I’ll wear these a lot when we go on our daily walks, but they can also be worn with jeans when I’m running errands. Maybe it’s because they can be worn for athletic events too, but I’d say these are the most comfortable of the three pairs I own.

Where can i shop new balance sneakers?

The first place to look when shopping for New Balance sneakers is obviously their website. However, I’ve found that with a lot of the popular sneaker styles, they sell out quickly. One option is to choose the men’s version of the sneaker and adjust the sizing. Or you can check out a few other third-party sites that often have trendier sneakers in stock.
