Beach season is HERE, y’all! Whether you’ve got a trip planned or you’re just planning to spend time around the pool during Memorial Day weekend, it’s a perfect excuse to stock up on some spring and summer beach accessories.

Before I head to the beach or pool, there are a few things I always grab for myself (the kids are a whole different story!). Here’s a look at what I usually try to bring with me to

Beach coverup/sarong

I have several sarongs and several full-body coverups. Typically, I prefer a sarong when I’m wearing a one-piece swimsuit, while the coverup is perfect for a two-piece. I love this colorblock sarong from Tuckernuck.

Cooler

I basically bring one of every drink in my fridge when I head to the pool.  This bucket cooler bag is a great option. It’s so easy to carry and actually holds a lot.

Zipper pouch

If I’m traveling with the kids, zipper pouches are pretty much essential. I found this personalized zipper pouch on Etsy and had to get it. I’ve seen some moms posting that they used this as a seashell bag at the beach too!

Sunscreen

SPF. Always. The Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen is my favorite because it doesn’t leave the white residue that a lot of other sunscreens do.

Visor/hat

Whether it’s a baseball cap or a sun hat, I always have something to cover my face from the sun when I’m at the pool or the beach. This visor breaks down easily so it fits into your luggage without taking up a lot of space.

Tote bag

You’ve got to have somewhere to put all of your accessories, and this tote is perfect. How cute are the embroidered hearts?? It’s a good size too — it holds plenty without feeling too oversized.

Sunglasses

I may or may not have way too many pairs of sunglasses. These tortoise sunglasses are my current go-to pair. I love everything from the shape to the color to the way they stay on even when I’m chasing Four around.
