Y’all know I’m a sucker for a good midi skirt. In case you missed it, I recently wrote a blog post all about how to style a midi skirt. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I wore them a ton while I was pregnant with Four. I just love how comfortable and flattering they are — even if you’re like 8 months pregnant!

But when it comes to maxi skirts, on the other hand, I’m not as quick to jump on board. Since I’m only 5’3″, most maxi skirts totally “swallow” me and make me feel like I’m swimming in fabric. It’s also a no for me if I have to do any altering (I try to save that for jeans and jackets).

So when I stumbled upon this floral pintuck maxi skirt from Madewell, I wasn’t totally sure it would work for me. I loved the floral print and the flouncy bottom, but I was nervous it would dominate my frame. However, the cute pattern and feminine structure of the skirt got me and I decided to add it to my cart.

I’m so glad I did!!! You guys… I love this skirt so much. It’s fitted just enough that it keeps your shape but isn’t too tight or restricting. It’s also the perfect length to wear with sneakers (but you could totally dress this up with heels or boots too).

I’m a big fan of styling longer skirts with a t-shirt or tank when it’s a little warmer outside (which it’s been here in Texas, even though it’s October!) so I paired this skirt with the cutest raglan tee from Madewell and the white sneakers I rave about so much on IG Stories.
