Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I know a lot of you are coming up with your plans for the day. Most years, we’ll celebrate by either taking my mom out to brunch or we’ll host a small brunch at home. Both are great options, but there’s something really special about being able to cook for your mom after she did the same for you for so many years!

I love the opportunity to host holidays and family get-togethers. Aside from getting to create new tablescapes for the event, there’s just something great about having your whole family together in your home. It’s what I always dreamed of growing up, and it’s so surreal to have it happen!

We’re still finalizing our plans for Mother’s Day this year, but I wanted to be prepared in case we do end up hosting a brunch at our home. So I started collecting brunch recipes that would be simple, yet feel special for this occasion. I thought it might be helpful to share for any of you who are also planning to host this year!

Avocado Toast Bar

The Live-In Kitchen

I’ve shared my love for avocado toast several times before, but it’s just the best breakfast in my opinion. I love playing around with other toppings like egg, feta cheese, and tasty seasoning. The idea of doing an avocado toast bar is so fun and would be a super easy meal that everyone can enjoy and make their own.

Quiche Lorraine

Momdish

Quiche is such a classic brunch dish. I personally love quiche lorraine, but you could easily substitute the ingredients to create a tasty quiche florentine or ham and swiss quiche. I might add a nice summer salad or even a side of fruit to make this a full meal that will fill everyone up. Oh, and let’s not forget the mimosas (or OJ for me)!

Triple Berry French Toast

Ahead of Thyme

Let’s be honest, French toast is about as good as it gets for brunch. I remember my mom making us French toast growing up all the time, and I think it would such a nostalgic dish to make for Mother’s Day. I love adding berries and a hint of maple syrup to mine, but you could definitely play around with different toppings too!

Egg & Crispy Potato Nests

Weelicious

I’ve personally never had an egg and potato nest like this before, but I love eggs and I love hashbrowns, so I can’t imagine this is bad! I would definitely want to serve this with other items like the tasty fruit and yogurt parfait below and maybe even some pancakes!

Fruit & Yogurt Parfait

The Recipe Critic

Fruit and yogurt parfaits are one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. I love good granola, and I also like that yogurt has plenty of protein so it keeps me full for a long time. There are a ton of really great granolas out there that you can buy from the store, or you could easily make your own if you felt so inclined too!
