D.I.Y Gold Vase

I’m going out on a limb here and trying something new: my very own DIY post. Crafty “activities” aren’t really my thing/up my ally (I’m wayyyy too ADD/impatient). BUT, with the move on the horizon, I’ve ventured out into the unknown in an attempt to decorate my soon-to-be home with things I already own and other budget-friendly accents. and I must say, it’s actually pretty fun! I just wish I had more time to explore this “crafty world” of which I’m such a foreigner (aka I feel like a fish out of water/amateur). But hey, who knows, maybe these creative juices are here to say…and pump new ideas into my brain. And if this is the case, I’m banking on these exciting ideas to motivate my time-management skills (study break?!). We shall see! If you’re interested, venture on…

So…if I didn’t make it obvious enough, it’s quite the rare occasion that I dream-up crafty ideas; but home decor-and-such have been on my mind more than ever. Ok, actually, this is the first time in my life that I have EVER voluntarily and willingly walked into a home & Interiors store-I kid you not. Not my thing. But as I mentioned in my very frist decor post, this has been a new and growing little passion (as I venture out into the adult world. eeeek!)

You’ll have to bare with me here, as I’m not quite sure how I want to set all this up. But for starters, let’s just note the classy holiday plastic saran wrap. Yea…I had to work with what I had. Anyway, I guess I should start with telling you what you need. And as you can see in photos below, you will need the following:

1. Metallic Gold Spray Paint | 2. Painters tape | 3. A Glass Vase  | 4. Ziplock OR Plastic Wrap | 5. And the flowers are for the effect, of course! But you’ll probably want these too :)

…and the rest should be pretty self-explanatory! Let me know what you think and/or if you like seeing these kind of posts on BTD. I’m all ears! Oh, and if you have any suggestions for how I could go about this differently or ideas for new posts, let me know. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
