I wore this outfit to a few holiday parties over the weekend and this sweater was such a hit! I love that it’s still cute BUT also festive – double win. I’ll probably be wearing it again over the weekend for more Christmas festivities with my family. I’m headed to Shreveport, Louisiana this year because – as I’m sure some of you know if you’ve been following me for a while – my sister is in her residency there. And if you’ve ever been close to someone during their journey to become a doctor, they don’t have much free time! My sister CoCo and her Husband, Ryan, are both doctors so we’re hanging out at their house again this year. It’s actually been pretty nice spending our holidays in Shreveport instead of where I’m from (Baton Rouge) because we get to just focus on family and spending time with each other without other distractions.

I thought I’d use this post to update y’all on a few random things – as I never really do that anymore. I’ve been working hard on finishing up a hair tutorial for you guys and I am SO excited to share it! I’ve got a few finishing touches and then I’m planning on publishing it either tonight or tomorrow. In the tutorial, I’ll be sharing one of my GO-TO hair tricks for volume and making my hair look fresh between washes. Stay tuned!

Last week I shared a few cozy recipes to make for a night in and based off my analytics, y’all seemed to really enjoy that post! If you missed it, be sure to check it out and leave a comment if you’d like to see more posts of that nature! Those types of (lifestyle) posts are so much fun to put together!

I’ll be spending the latter half of this week reflecting on 2017 and I’m really looking forward to taking a long, hard look at what I’ve learned this year and what I can implement going into 2018. I feel like it’s really been a big year of lessons for me and I’m excited to reflect on those even though some of them aren’t “fun” lessons. I find that it’s so easy to get caught up in moving forward (the go-go, onto the next) that I can easily forget to digest things that have happened. And if don’t learn from experience, we’re bound to keep running in circles. We may still be running, but it’s very possible we aren’t going anywhere or will make the same mistakes etc. All that to say, I’m prioritizing reflection this year. Do you do any sort of annual review yourself? If so, please share!

In last week’s BTD WEEKLY newsletter, I asked y’all for some feedback on your favorite recipes to cook in batch and heat up throughout the week. I got some GREAT responses, so I’ll be adding that to my editorial calendar – that’s going to be a fun one! Thanks for those of you who sent me ideas and weighed in!
