Festive 4th of July Drink Recipe

With the fourth of July coming up this weekend, I wanted to give y’all a fun little drink recipe to add a little patriotic flare to your weekend celebrations! It’s a super easy drink to make and you can be the boss of whether or not it’s got alcohol in it or not ;) Not only is this little cocktail colorful and fun, but it’s refreshing and light too!

So to start off you will need some sort of clear cups to show off your patriotic cocktail – I went with with simple mason jars because they remind me of summer and I think they’re so cute :)

Ingredients:

  1. Cranberry Juice Cocktail (this will be your something red)
  2. Gatorade Glacier Cherry (something white)
  3. Gatorade Low Calorie Glacier Freeze (something blue)

NOTE: It is very important for the blue drink to be low calorie & low in sugar since the lower sugar concentrate enables it to float above the white gatorade

Fourth of July Drink Directions:

  1. Fill your cups 1/3 of the way with the cranberry cocktail
  2. Fill your cups with ice
  3. Slowly pour the white Gatorade over the ice. This will help keep the two drinks separated
  4. Finally, pour your blue gatorade for the last third of the cup fill with the blue gatorade again pouring slowly

There you have it! This drink will be the perfect start to any backyard bbq or whatever weekend celebrations you’ve got going on this weekend for the 4th! Enjoy!
