I love a roomy tote. I ordered this popular L.L.Bean tote not too long ago after seeing so many people post about it. But I’ve found that with all the things I tend to carry when I’m out and about, I needed something with some compartmentalization.

Meet the Dagne Dover Vida Tote. I needed something that was durable, would fit tons of daily essentials, and still looked cute. This bag checks all of those boxes.

I’ve recently become obsessed with the Vida Tote from Dagne Dover. With plenty of exterior and interior pockets, this bag carries all of the items I need to bring with me at any given time, including my laptop and whatever I’m reading. This would actually be perfect for the beach or pool too!

What Size Did You Choose?

The Dagne Dover Vida Tote comes in two sizes — a small and a large tote. I knew I wanted the tote to be something I could carry every day, so I opted for the small version, and honestly, it fits everything I need. The bigger tote is more like a weekend bag IMO. Both bags have the same number of pockets. The biggest difference is the overall size of the tote.

Can the Tote Be Easily Cleaned?

Yes! That’s one of the things I love most about this bag. The bottom and interior of the bag are coated so they can be easily wiped clean, which is super important with sticky hands constantly getting things out of it. I also have a tendency to spill things in my bags quite a bit.

Does this bag fit a laptop?

I carry this bag a lot when I’m going to work outside the home, and I can assure you it will fit a standard 13″ laptop. Unlike most of the other totes I own, this bag has a structured base, which keeps it standing upright when you set it down. So I always feel like whatever I put inside is secure.

What’s the storage like in this tote?

There are 3 interior pockets and 4 exterior pockets on the Vida Tote. The exterior pockets were the biggest appeal to me. I am constantly having to fish my keys and phone out of other bags. With this bag, I know exactly where my “essentials” are at any given time so I waste a lot less time searching for things I need. It also has a removable neoprene drink holder, which I use sometimes if I’m carrying a water bottle with me.

Was there anything you’d change about this bag?

Truthfully, no! I appreciate that this bag holds so much for a “small” tote size. I love that it’s 100% organic cotton canvas tote too. The material feels extremely high quality and durable. I might include a zipper or button on the top of the bag to close it when I’m traveling, but it’s not been an issue for me so far.

If you’re in the market for a really great tote, I can’t recommend this bag enough. Like I said, I’ve had a lot of totes, and this one is the holy grail of all totes.
