I’m so excited I could literally burst! I’ve been working so hard over the past few days to create a super easy-to-shop guide for y’all that will SIMPLIFY this massive sale for y’all. There are thousands of items and it can sometimes be difficult to figure out what’s worth it – talk about analysis paralysis!

In today’s post I’m focusing only on WOMEN’S FASHION.  See the END OF THE POST for a SCHEDULE OF BLOG POSTS covering additional categories. I can’t WAIT to share menswear picks because the boy and I have already purchased some AWESOME finds! I love shopping for him :)

Like I mentioned on stories, I spent the least amount (by far) than I’ve ever spent because I really wanted to curate my selection and focus on wearability rather than quantity. I’ll be posting THREE IGTV’s over the course of the next 3-4 days covering key items by theme.  The first video will go live TODAY covering my favorite 7 sweaters from the sale: how to style them and why I chose to purchase each.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outfits:

Thoughts: For $31, this is a great cardigan! I like the length (not too long) and the long lines – it makes for a really clean look. The sleeves aren’t too tight (which I appreciate), so you can wear it over thinner sweaters and it’s easy to layer. The oatmeal color is a MUST as well as the black if you don’t already have a black one. If you are shopping on a budget and can only get 1 cardigan, I would recommend this one.

Thoughts: Just a great fitted long-sleeve tee. I wore my everyday nude bra under and didn’t find it to be see-through. I also  like the roll-hem detail on it for when/if I want to wear it untucked over my jeans.

Thoughts: It’s not everyday I find a pair of cropped denim that ACTUALLY fits me right.  These jeans are PERFECT to wear with booties and I love that I don’t have to cuff them or roll them under. For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall.

Thoughts: To be honest, the price isn’t great on this bag but I REALLY wanted a snakeskin bag and I found that it completed so many of my looks. Do you think I should keep it? I’m still on the fence about this one! I love the shape and the pop of red too!

Thoughts: For $25, this is a great casual sweater for Fall. It’s a thinner material so it’s easy layer under a jacket or cardigan. The sleeve have a little bit of a balloon detail but I think it adds a nice touch. I got it in black and the oatmeal color!

Thoughts: I haven’t bought a pair of Paige jeans in years, but I picked these up because  I noticed they were a little cropped (and I’m short) and I’ve ended up LOVING them. The knee slits are subtle but still add a little character and a relaxed vibe. The rise is high but not too high (I have other jeans for when I want a super high rise). I do have to roll them under like an inch  or so but they’re still skinny enough around my ankle to wear with high shaft booties and sneakers (shoes I want more of my ankle to show with because it looks more flattering).

Thoughts:  I didn’t realize how much I would love this bootie! I don’t typically gravitate towards flat booties because I feel like they don’t look the best on me but after styling this one several times, I LOVE IT. I appreciate the  warm tone of the suede because it was the perfect neutral for when I wanted to tie a look together that had either black or brown in it. As you’ll see with all my outfits, I was able to style it several different ways.

Thoughts: SO GREAT. If you cans wing the splurge, I HIGHLY recommend these. I know a lot of other brands make knockoffs of the Vince sneakers, but trust me when I tell you THEY JUST AREN’T AS CUTE – or as comfortable! These will be my second pair of these Vince sneakers. I got a very similar pair (except they were all suede) 3 years ago and I have them to pieces. It’s time for an upgrade and these are so fun!

Thoughts: Love the print of this sweater and overall fit! It’s also long enough to wear with leggings! It’s stretchy and the material is a little thicker so it’s extra cozy – cute for a casual look or lounging too! It’s sort of like an oversized sweatshirt in sweater material!

Thoughts: These caught my eye in store  when I was shopping from across the room. Something about the contrast  of the black leather and the bright white laces complimented by the white platform is just SO sticking and adorable to me. Plus, I love the little snakeskin detailing on the shoe tongue. I was able to style these 3+ ways with just my Nsale picks, so I imagine they’ll be a great weekend Fall staple and cute alternative to my everyday Vince sneakers I always wear (also featured – I got the updated style for this season!)

Thoughts: HELLO CASHMERE DREAM. I love this piece so much! The color is great (not too grey which makes it easier to pair with warmer tones). And  it’s 100% cashmere, which means  it’s SUPER warm (trust me, I felt it).

Thoughts: Great for layering and I like that it’s cream as opposed to white!

Thoughts: These were the only tall boots that truly caught my eye at the sale when shopping in store.  I first saw hem in the catalogue but wasn’t sure about the color. After styling them with multiple outfits, I’m in love! I think the color is actually GREAT and (as I’m sure you’ll see) matches so many other neutrals! I think  they *make* an outfit. I appreciate that they’re not over the knee because sometimes those just overtake my short frame and I think knee high (as opposed to OTK) are easier to wear with more things.

Sizing/Fit: these were tricky with sizing! I think because the leather is so stiff it can be hard to tell. Either they’re a little big and don’t grip your heel so you slide out when you walk or they feel pretty snug (which is what I went with). I got size 6 and usually wear size 6.5 in Marc Fisher.
Thoughts: Aren’t these fun? Okay so I have a few things you need to know about these. First of all, I love the print and think you definitely need a pair of snakeskin shoes this Fall because the texture and print act as the perfect “outfit completer”. Like if you’re wearing an outfits with a bunch of solids (all black, black jeans with white tee, etc.) But I will note that the color palette of this snakeskin in particular doesn’t work as well with warmer-toned colors, so stick to styling them with cooler colors like grey, black, white, blue or even red!

It’s not long enough to wear with leggings and I wouldn’t recommend sizing up for length because of the slouchy cut (it will just get  too baggy). But I think this color is great – it would also look awesome with black leather, brown leather, cognac suede, or leopard shoes (all the options!)

Thoughts: Love the feel and thickness of this sweater. But most of all, I really appreciate the length and slimmer cut of it. This sweater looks super cute with leggings or can even be front-tucked with high-rise denim. It looks cute styled with fall prints like leopard and snakeskin as well as with other neutrals like creams, darker browns, and black.

Thoughts: This tee is really great to use as a layering piece. I like that it’s tunic-length. My only complain is that it fits super tight – I wish there was a little more give. But it’s great for wearing tucked in or under sweaters to add a layered look – or if you want to add a pop of pattern under a sweater. I got the white but I’m going to return it because it’s too thin and a little see through.
