Dallas

I’ve lived in Dallas for a handful of years now and absolutely love it! I can’t quite put my finger on why I love Dallas so much, but something about it just feels like home. With that being said, this blog wouldn’t be complete without writing about my favorite spots around Dallas! Plus I get a lot of questions about where to go and what to do in the city; this category will cover places to eat, things to do, and general recs for the area. So far I’ve really only covered my favorite date night spots, but I’m working on a few more posts (including fave brunch spots + coffee shops!). Let me know if you have any specific requests by submitting a question on my FAQ page!

Where I Went to Celebrate My 28th Birthday

I’m pretty sure I just turned 21 like yesterday, but somehow, someway I am 28 today! It really is crazy how fast time flies as you get older (my dad ALWAYS told me that), but here I am, entering the last couple years of my twenties. Like woah. And I’m actually excited about it y’all! My Favorite Dallas Date Night Spots

Maybe it’s because food is like my favorite thing on Earth, but if I’m gonna go on a date, I prefer it to be dinner . You get one-on-one connection, to sip on wine (#duh), and eat – the best combo ever in my book. And after being in Dallas for 4 years now, I’ve obviously tried a lot of the restaurants around town, and some just stick out as…

Behind The Business With VIVE Personal Training

Earlier this week, I mentioned I was partnering up with American Express to share the stories of two small businesses in Dallas. We talked about Leighanne Shelton of FORM Salon who colors my hair and this week I’ll be focusing on my trainers at VIVE Personal Training. Meet John – one of the owners of VIVE. If you follow me on social media, you’ve definitely seen the VIVE guys kicking my butt…

Behind The Business With Form Salon

One of my favorite things about Dallas is the new people I've met - either through church, out shopping, or just doing life in general. Over the past five years, as I've settled into Dallas and made it my own, I've gotten to know people from all walks of life and specializing in all sorts of different trades. As a small business owner myself, I've appreciated getting to learn more about some of the amazing small businesses here in Dallas.

Why I Love My City + Finding New Ways To Rediscover Yours

Have y’all ever stopped to think about how well you really know your city? It might sound silly (probably does), but lately, I’ve realized that while I obviously know Dallas well, I really only know the bubble that I move around in. Obviously that involves my neighborhood and all the places I go weekly (shops, restaurants, etc.), but even when I am trying something new, it’s usually within the same…

The Best Spots to Grab A Drink In Dallas

Whether you're a fellow Dallas native or you're headed to the city on a work or weekend trip, I wanted to put together a list of some of the best bars in Dallas to grab a drink. It was really hard to limit this list to only 5 (I think I could list around 15 and it really just depends on what you're looking for), so I went ahead and just listed the ones I frequent the most often.

Fave Dallas Lunch Spot: Dive in Snyder Plaza

I've been wanting to put together a Dallas guide for months now, but just didn't ever set my mind to it or move it to the top of my ever-evolving to-do list. But after speaking to a friend coming to visit Dallas and asking for recommendations, I decided it was time to make my "Dallas to-do" happen.
