Cute Looks for Each Type of NYE Celebration

Who’s excited for New Year’s Eve slash 2020?! I’m not huge into going out, but I feel like this year I might have to! Because not only is it the end of the year, but it’s the end of a decade!! It’s also the end of my 20s (I just turned 3o if you missed it!), so I feel like there’s a lot to celebrate, right?!

Of course, this means I’ve got lots of outfit options on my mind! I’m sure y’all who are planning to go out and celebrate are also trying to plan something cute to wear. To help you figure it out, I put four looks together that I think could work for a variety of NYE celebrations no matter what you’re doing or where you live. Whether you’re keeping it more low key with friends at a house party or going somewhere snazzy, these looks should give you some inspo! Gotta say, I really love them all :)

Outfit 1

One thing I knew I wanted to do was style an outfit with a minidress and an OTK boot. I love that this dress adds just a little bit of sparkle without being too crazy. And these boots are just great to have all winter long – they would also go great with skinnies and a cute top! It’s a classic NYE look in my opinion and a little edgier but still super practical because it keeps you covered up! And when you live somewhere like Denver, being covered up in the dead of winter while walking to a bar is very important!

Outfit 2

How cute is this camisole?! It’s perfect for a more casual celebration at a friend’s house or lowkey restaurant. It has just the right amount of sequin paired with these earrings. I also love a pointed toe pump for NYE. It just feels slightly more formal to me and adds a little something extra.

Outfit 3

I couldn’t style these outfits and leave out snakeskin! After all, it was one of 2019’s biggest trends! This mini skirt is so much fun and is a great alternative to wearing sequins if that’s not your thing. I paired it with this oversized faux fur coat that I think balances the skirt really nicely. I’d wear this look to a chic bar throwing a NYE party or to a fancy late-night dinner with Duncan.

Outfit 4

I wanted at least one of the outfits to feel a little bit cozier and I think this one checks that box! The balloon sleeve sweater is so warm and comfy but paired with the midi skirt and these snakeskin embossed boots it still makes it feel dressy enough for a fun, but more casual NYE night out with friends.
