When it comes to your everyday shirtdress, I feel like I need a little help in the pulling-off-the-casual-oversized-dress look. In other words, if the dress doesn’t have much structure to it, odds are I’m going to style it with a belt or something tied around my waist to give me a little shape. I’m just too short for that oversized-I-don’t-care look. Know what I mean? And one of my favorite ways to SYNCH a loose waist is with my everyday chambray or denim shirt. Lately, I’ve always been tying my plaid shirts around my waist as well! I love the laid back (yet still “pulled together”) vibes it gives any look.

Anyway, I’m a big fan of this shirtdress look and think it’s cute cinched at the waist or worn normally. It would also be super cute with a brown belt – like I wore it here.
