The other day I was thinking about some of the fun fall trends happening right now and remembered this blog post I wrote about some of the wearable spring trends last year. I loved working on that post so much that I decided to do another one for fall trends in 2021. The best part about these trends is that they can totally be worn into winter and even spring. So without further adieu, here are 3 of my favorite trends this fall.

Statement Collars

As you can tell by the photos in this post, I’m a big fan of the statement collar. A few of my favorite statement collar tops I’ve shared lately include this CeliaB top, this white eyelet blouse that y’all loved, and this adorable floral top. I mean, seriously… so cute! But this Pemberly cardigan totally takes the cake in my opinion — mostly because the collar is REMOVABLE! Y’all, I die. I’ve worn this sweater without the collar for a more classic look but obviously love it with the collar even more.

Lace-Up/Combat Boots

I haven’t gotten as on board with this trend as I did last year but I still love a good lace-up/combat boot. They’re so effortlessly cool and can be worn in so many different ways like with your favorite pair of jeans or a cute dress. Plus, they make me feel a little edgy, which is super fun since it’s pretty much the opposite of my everyday style. These Sam Edelman lace-up boots from Anthro might actually be my next purchase because I can’t stop thinking about them.

All Things Leather

If you’ve been following me on Instagram lately, you’ve probably seen my affinity for all things leather. This is another trend that makes me feel slightly edgier than normal and I’ve had a blast incorporating leather pieces into my normal classic looks. (Remember these leather pants? SO cute.) The best part about this trend is you likely already have several leather items in your closet (think handbags, shoes, etc.) that you can use.
