Weekly Recap + Some Personal Thoughts & Top Sellers

It was a pretty interesting week for me with content and just personally. I had several really fun and exciting moments (posted a new recipe video & launched a bible study series!); but if I’m being honest, I’ve also been struggling with keeping my mind right when it comes to social media. I hate admitting this, but I often get sucked into the comparison trap of feeling like what I’m doing, what I have, or who I am isn’t good enough. I know that’s not true; but even thought I *know* this in my head, I don’t always believe it. And I think I’ve been spending way too much time consuming other people’s lives and content. Anyway, it became clear to me that I needed a perspective shift and gratitude check.

I’m still processing and figuring out how I can set better boundaries for myself, but I did make a conscious decision at the beginning of the week to *not* scroll or do my best not to consume as much. I’ve muted a ton of accounts and am being more conscious of what I let myself read, watch, and follow. And so far, it has really helped me! I’m sure this will continue to be something I struggle with, but I’m feeling so much better. I also did daily gratitude journaling and spent more time than usual reading my bible, which REALLY helped me keep things in perspective!

On another note, I’m excited to recap some of my favorite moments and products from the week! I’ll admit this blog post took me WAY longer than I anticipated but I’d love to share something like this every week! let me know what you think in the comments below!

Products I’m Loving + Best Sellers

I started doing these weekly best-sellers round up a few weeks ago and I love seeing what y’all love the most each week! A lot of these are similar to last week, but we’ve got a few new pieces too! Gosh I can’t wait until it’s time to wear normal clothes again, can you?!

I really have been wearing that black workout tank on REPEAT – you can click any of the products above to shop!

Ritual

Daily Multivitamin

My favorite daily multivitamins! Use code BRIGHTONB10 for 10% OFF your first 3 months.

On Tuesday, I talked about my favorite multivitamins again. I’ve been sharing them about once a month because they’ve become a part of my daily routine and I love Ritual so much! I’ve talked about them before too in my post about habits I want to form in my 30’s and then my post on 8 Things I Do Every (Week) Day.

TULA

Protect + Glow Gel SPF

A great broad-spectrum SPF that both protects my skin from harmful sun but also blue light, leaving a nice glow on my skin! Use code BRIGHTON for 15% OFF!

Dr. Dennis Gross

Skincare Pro Facial Steamer

I’ve been wanting one of these for SO long and I finally pulled the trigger! This is an investment but I’ve read everywhere it’s the nicest at home facial steamer on the market! I am loving it and it makes me feel so fancy!

This is the app I use to plan our weekly meals and stay organized for grocery shopping! I’m really enjoying it and it helps keep me organized and on track!

Workouts

I’ve been sharing 2 workouts a week and you guys really seem to enjoy them! I’m no expert, but I’ve been working virtually with my trainer to put these together and they’ve been kicking my butt! Usually, I try to workout at least 3x a week but these have been so hard that I’ve only been able to muster up the strength to do two of them. So on the other days, I try to learn a dance (did you see the dance I did this week?!) or go on a really long walk!

35 Min Workout

Plyo, Arms & Butt

Wore my Apple Watch for this and during each of the PLYO circuits, my heart rate was either at or OVER 160 which is HIGH for me! Needless to say, this was a GOOD one! I originally was going to do abs with it, but nope, I had enough after the arms & butt! Let me know if you do this!

30 Min Workout

Legs, Shoulders & Abs

If you’ve been following my workouts, this one is a *little* different because we only do the ploy circuit once. But I’m telling you, I was sore from this one for 3 days! Those RDL’s are sneaky because they’re not too terrible while you’re doing them but then I legit can’t walk the next day!

What I Cooked + Ate This Week

We made some great stuff this week and had a lot of fun in the kitchen. I’m pretty sure I had an açaí bowl every single morning and then avocado toast just about every day for lunch! We tried a couple new dinner recipes but to be honest we weren’t very impressed with the results, so I didn’t share. We tried a chicken farm in the Instant Pot and we were *not* impressed. I’m still trying to figure out how to make something we love in that thing – I keep having bad luck with it! If you’re a big instant pot fan, please send me a recipe you love in it! I need some positive momentum!

Fruit Bowl

I’m still working on perfecting my fruit bowl, but this was really yummy! It doesn’t have açaí in it because the store was out, so I just used frozen berries! Be sure to melt your peanut butter so it drizzles. If your consistency is too watery, then add some ice!

BTD Recipe Video

Healthy 25 Min Sesame Chicken

This sesame chicken has become a weekly staple for me & Duncan! I hope this video encourages y’all to make it too! It’s such a great week night dinner! Check out the video and recipe on my Instagram Feed!

I made another recipe video! You can find the ingredients list and instructions all my instagram feed post if you want to try it! Let me know what you think if you end up making it!
