Y’all have probably noticed the major trend that is the plaid skirt, or the “school girl skirt” as I like to call them. Think Cher from Clueless or Britney Spears from “Hit Me Baby One More Time,” but updated. I personally love the preppy look of the plaid (#YASS), but even more so, I like the details that are making it feel FRESH. Anything from a wrap detail or ruffles is super cute, and I especially like the muted tones that this skirt has. The ruffles make it playful, and I’ve had fun styling it with sock booties and a cozy neutral sweater. Plus, I find that the higher waist is super flattering, and a great purchase if you’re looking to get into the trend but aren’t sure where to start!
