I’ve really been trying to focus on bringing y’all more workwear outfits so if you’re someone that’s been asking for that, today’s post is for you! And when I say that this is the most comfortable workwear outfit, I am not exaggerating!! These pants I’m about to tell you about are UNREAL! Let’s get into it!
So starting with the star of this show – the pants. They are a wide-leg SWEATER pant from J. Crew. Yes, you read that right, sweater pants. They are SO soft, come in four colors and can easily be dressed down for casual wear on the weekends, or dressed up for the office! If I worked in an office, I would honestly buy these in every color and put them on heavy rotation. I think they’d even wear well in the summertime because although they’re a sweater material, they’re not too thick or heavy.
Like I said, you could easily dress these pants down with some cute white sneakers, but for an office look, I went with a pair of classic slingbacks. You could also do a pointed toe flat or an open toe block heel in the summertime, or honestly probably even high-shaft booties in the fall! So many options for shoes with these!!
Because I had workwear in mind, I pulled this gorgeous square neck sweater that would pair well with Ponte pants, a pencil skirt or even denim – literally, it could work for any office environment (or non-office!!). But for these sweater pants specifically, I think it’s important to have something a little more fitted throughout the body so you can tuck it in and balance out the wideness of the leg. Anything too baggy on the top might not look as polished. Something to keep in mind!
Size-wise, I would definitely say size down for the sweater pants. The material loosens up a bit as you wear it and it’s already slightly oversized so ya, I’d recommend going one down if you can!
Convinced these are the world’s comfiest pants?! I’m telling you, they’re worth every penny (definitely try to get them on sale – such a good price that way)!!
