You know that feeling when you’re totally down to do XYZ with your friends, but you just don’t feel like picking out an outfit or getting dressed at all? I know I do. And with such an outfit-focused past few days while here in NY for all the fashion festivities, I’ve felt that like 102 times. By Sunday – after being here since Wednesday – I needed a little break and was thankful that this whole wearing-pajamas-thing is socially acceptable. Granted, these are a little nicer-looking than your average pair, but the comfort level (and not-having-to-think factor) are all the same.

So take my word for it – wearing pajamas OUT it is officially IN. How awesome is that? It took me a few seasons to jump on the pajama-wearing train, but I’m totally on board now (obviously). Not only will you look chic while walking the streets; you will be wearing your most comfortable outfit (like, EVER #SCORE).

There are tons of ways to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. You can wear a pajama set with heels like I did above. This is one of the easiest ways to pull this look off. Other ways pajamas are making it into this season’s wardrobe is through robes. Silk robes with embroidery can be worn with a pair of jeans and a graphic tee. Or split up your set and wear your silk pajama shirt with some boyfriend jeans. I actually put together a work wear look back in July with some black culottes if you missed it – and that top was very pajamas-inspired. Whatever the case and however trendy you’re looking to be, there’s a way to play around with the trend to make it work for you :)

What are your favorite ways to wear this chic trend?
