Blazer

Real question – can you ever have too many blazers? I mean, but really though? I could put together cute blazer outfits for days. I love wearing blazers! Second, to cardigans, they’re literally one of the most wearable wardrobe items out there! They’re so easy to dress up and down and can instantly transform an outfit. I have a variety of different blazers – ranging from your classic, go-to black blazer to more trendy items with ruffle and interesting stitch detailing. And anytime I’m in an outfit funk and can’t figure out what to wear, I find myself gravitating towards my go-to blazers – they never let me down.

For shopping blazers, I absolutely love just about every single blazer that Topshop creates. And I know Zara always has a pretty decent selection of blazers as well. I’ve had some luck at Nordstrom shopping blazers too – I love their Halogen brands (I have to get petite because this brand runs HUGE). Oh, and J.Crew has pretty amazing blazers as well. But if I had to choose my absolute favorite company ever (and if money grew on trees), I’d buy all my blazers from Theory; they literally have the best-fitting blazers out there in my opinion!

I love a good Canadian tuxedo, especially when a “third piece” is added like a cognac leather belt, a vest, or in this case a cream blazer! I’ve found that denim on denim outfits typically look best when I pair contrasting-colored pieces of denim like I did here with dark jeans and a lighter chambray button up. I love the look of cognac accessories – like this bag – when worn with denim. Something about the contrast just WORKS. Don’t you think? I wore this outfit for my blog post on something I think about often and have actually lived by my entire life – but never really had a name for it until I read Mark Manson’s book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F$#%.
