Remember how I promised I would share my organization method with you once I figured out what worked best? Well here you go, friends: a little peak into my jewelry/accessory corner! I know it’s not the neatest looking method, but I like to SEE everything I’ve got all spread out in front of me! Otherwise, I’ll forget about old gems AND I’ll make some excuse to myself why I don’t feel like “pulling it out” and digging and/or making a mess. But this way, it’s all easy, organized (well, for the most part) and accessible!
I usually keep my favorite pieces (of the “moment”) out on a tray or on my chest of drawers like in the last photo above! I got the “OMG” tray from Pottery barn, the necklace and bracelet from J. Crew (baublebar has one too!), sunglasses are Karen Walker, watch is MK, and the monogram necklace is Jennifer Zeuner.
Before deciding to hang them all on my wall (like in the picture above), I tried this method below where I hung cup hooks (that I got from Lowe’s) underneath my shelves to hang my necklaces. It was neat at first, but then I got annoyed of having to go into my closet every time I wanted to put jewelry on. So I decided to try something different (go figure…I’m always moving things around)! I now have my jewelry by my full length mirror and out in the open, so it works out better for me! But maybe this other idea will work for you?! All in all, though, I really like using the coffee mug hooks – they work great for hanging necklaces! And the acrylic stands work well for my bracelets!
I included a few more photos for you guys after the jump! Let me know if you have any ideas for organizing YOUR jewelry. What works for you?
