Office Outfit Inspiration #1

vince camuto white blouse, black cropped pants, strappy heels, office attire

Ok, y’all I had the idea the other morning to do a Monday morning outfit inspo round up on stories to help you get dressed for work if you are falling into a rut. I just figured it’d be so helpful and make getting dressed easier in the morning! I’m gonna do a recap here so you can refer back to these specific ideas anytime you want!

the Outfit Guide

Idea 1: All black.

Tips

  1. Mix textures. Mix a leather pant or legging with a chenille sweater or velvet jacket and a black tee or blouse.
  2. Add accessories. Go all gold or silver depending on your preference. Add a black bag – super easy – some gold studs and a statement necklace (long or short), BOOM! you’re good to go!

Idea 2: Tone on tone.

Tips

  1. Pair black and brown or cream together – for a neutral look. For a more colorful look – lavender, white and light pink would be beautiful.
  2. Add an item that mixes all of those colors. For instance, a leopard shoe mixes brown and black. Perfect! Another idea, a tortoiseshell earring, bracelet or necklace pulls all those tones together seamlessly.

Idea 3: Classic white and black.

Tips

  1. Silky white top tucked into flowy black pants – so chic. Instead of worrying about 5 items of clothing, keep it simple with a simple top & bottom combo.
  2. Add grey for another layer of dimension and play with mixing textures using a sweater/cardigan material.
  3. Add a pop of color. One item that is a statement color will work so well with a black and white look. It also makes the outfit come together as a polished look.

Idea 4: Style your favorite blazer.

Tips

  1. Pair with high-waisted pants. If you have a longer blazer, pairing the high-waisted pants with the blazer and tucking in your top will accentuate your waist and define the silhouette perfectly.
  2. Style with a skirt. Solid blazer? Pair with a textured or patterned skirt, a solid top and booties or block heeled pumps – effortless.

Idea 5: Bootie & dress combo.

Tips

  1. Simplify. Too much effort to think of TWO pieces of clothing to wear, choose a dress.
  2. Pair with a bootie that is comfortable and hits your leg at the thinnest part of your ankle so the outfit looks proportional.
