New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas

brighton butler new years eve

I can’t believe New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. It always sneaks up on me every year since I’m usually so focused on getting things ready for Christmas. But this year, I’m determined to plan ahead and think about my outfit ahead of time so I’m not left scrambling at the last minute!

I’m sure many of you spent the holiday at home last year thanks to the pandemic. I actually loved staying in on New Year’s Eve for a change. It was so fun to hang out, eat snacks, and watch all the festivities on TV. I’m pretty sure I fell asleep around 10 pm, and it was glorious!

But now that things are slightly more back to normal, Duncan and I are thinking about going out to dinner just the two of us to celebrate the New Year then heading home early to watch the ball drop. Maybe you have plans to go out on the town or perhaps you’re hanging at home again this year. Whatever your New Year’s Eve plans are this year, I’ve got you covered with several outfit ideas.

A NIGHT ON THE TOWN

There were so many years I would get really dressed up for New Year’s Eve, and I loved it! I think it’s such a fun excuse to buy something new and get all fancy. This year, I’m thinking I’ll go with something slightly more casual but I wanted to pull some outfit inspo for those of you who plan to rock it on the town this year!

A COZY NIGHT IN

There are few things better than a cozy night in, and any of these outfits would be perfect for just that. Honestly, as soon as Duncan and I finish dinner, I plan to immediately change into one of these sweatsuits and cuddle up with my Barefoot Dreams blanket while we watch the ball drop.

DINNER WITH FRIENDS

This is probably going to be more my speed this year. Duncan and I will most likely make reservations somewhere that’s nice, but not too fancy. I love this mini dress or this super cute jumpsuit. These outfits are perfect if you’re planning to do dinner with friends or head out for a casual date night like us.

I hope you have a safe night whatever you decide to do. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2022!
