The Shoes I Literally Can’t Stop Wearing This Season

summer outfit white dress red bandana necklace

I always love when there’s a trend that comes around that I don’t actually notice I’m addicted to until I realize I’m wearing it pretty much daily. It happened a couple years ago with cropped jeans, and then with everything high-waisted. Now I’m noticing it with a certain pair of shoes: slides. They’re literally on my feet more than any other shoe and it’s clear that I’m obsessed. Anyone else?!

I’d kinda been over sandals for a while (flip-flops are too boring sometimes and the whole wrap-ankle trend wasn’t my favorite since I’m so short). Slides serve as the perfect answer since they’re effortless and flattering at the same time! They’re honestly SO EASY to slide on (get it?!) and they seem to be the ideal combo of casual and snazzy. They do more than a basic pair of sandals yet they’re not as dressy as, say, heeled mules. I love them with cropped jeans and a tank for running around town or with a pretty maxi dress if I’m going more boho. Honestly, I can’t really think of any outfit that I couldn’t pair slides with at the moment! They’re that good.

I’ve been wanting a pair of M. Gemi shoes for several years now! I’ve been admiring the brand from afar and it has become a line that I really appreciate and respect. With my mother being a shoe designer, I like to think I’ve got an eye for quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. M. Gemi certainly fits the bill for all of those things! They use all family-run factories to create their cute shoe line and everything feels really lux yet affordable – especially for the Italian-made quality!

And they do slides (well, flats really) better than anyone. Take this pair of suede slides I’m styling in these photos – one of my favorite colors of their Capri slide. They’re the perfect color to wear with basically anything in my closet which is why you’ll probably see me wear them non-stop throughout summer. I wanted to show y’all how easy they are to throw on with just about anything, so I styled them three different ways!

Look One: Button-up Denim Dress (wearing size 2) // Bandana // Sunglasses (backordered but worth the wait!) // Bracelets // M. Gemi Capri Slides in color “luggage” (wearing size 36.5)

Look Two: Shorts (wearing size 24) // Top (wearing size 2) // Bag // M. Gemi Capri Slides in color “luggage” (wearing size 36.5)

Look Three: Mother Denim (wearing size 25) // Eyelet Top (wearing size 2) // Goop Bag // Julie Vos Bracelet // M. Gemi Capri Slides in color “luggage” (wearing size 36.5)

Let me know which look is your favorite!

If you’re obsessed with them too, M. Gemi actually gave me a discount code (BRIGHTON40) for y’all to use! Be sure to tag me in any Instagrams of you wearing them so we can be slides besties k?!
