How to make the most out of your time traveling

Y’all know that I just got back from Paris – insert all the excited emojis -, and if you follow along on Snapchat, you know this was a pretty last-minute trip for me. I didn’t have a ton of things planned for this trip, which is exciting and a little crazy for me! I’m trying really hard to be more present and to make the most out of my moments…

Tips For Packing Well

Trips are amazing and all, but packing….not so much. And unfortunately for me, I happen to be one of the world’s biggest procrastinators when it comes to packing. Since I travel so often, you can imagine the affect this has on me. After this last round of trips, I got so fed up with my packing-hot-mess-ness and decided to get a handle on it – or at least figure something…

Hotel Ella Review

Y’all probably saw on Instagram or Snapchat, but a few weeks ago Lisel and I traveled to Austin for the If: Gathering Conference (and omg, I still need a full post on that amazingness but that’s for a later day). Austin is such a cool city – and my college town, so I obviously I love it! It was nice to be back, the conference was great, and staying at…

Lake Tahoe Travel Guide

Lake Tahoe is one of those spots I’ve seen on Pinterest a million times and have always wanted to go – it’s legit one of the most beautiful places to ever be photographed. And let me tell you, the photographs aren’t lying! I recently went for about 5 days (and true story, we ended up pushing our flights back a whole day because we had a hard time leaving) and…

BTD Fall Foliage Road Trip Recap & Itinerary

I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do an epic Northeast (or just somewhere “up there” slash New England-y-ish) trip and I just knew that this year (2016 ) was the year. And thanks to a few fun partnerships and things that fell into place, we were able to make it happen this year and I’m so excited to share all that we did and experienced with y’all in this blog post! Buckle…

Easy Dress & Boots + Equinox Resort in Manchester, VT

During our most recent NE road trip through Vermont and down to Connecticut, we made a stop in Manchester for a few nights (city guide coming soon!). It was hard to pick which towns we wanted to visit along our trip but we knew we FOR SURE wanted to make a stop here, stay at the Equinox Resort and take an afternoon to do the Land Rover Experience (blog post coming next week!). I had some friends stay at the Equinox a few years ago and I'd heard nothing but wonderful things about it - especially during late September and early October when the leaves are just starting to change!

Sailing in Seattle + Tips For Planning a Short Vacay

Hey y’all! I’m finally back from travels for a bit and am so happy to be home. Summer has been BUSY, anyone else?! I’ve been traveling a lot, and realized that the majority of my trips were pretty short which I really love to do. After a few days I crave my normal routine in Dallas, but I LOVE to bop around seeing different places. I wanted to write up…

How to Keep Vacations Healthy

Vacations are the freaking best, right? But sometimes after returning from one where you consumed your weight in carbs and laid on a beach all day, you return feeling blah and worse than when you left. And ugh, I hate that feeling! Of course we all need those trips to just veg out, but I’m been doing my BEST to make traveling more healthy. It actually hasn’t been quite as…

Capri City Guide

Y'all, I'm finally getting to my Capri guide! I posted about this Italy trip a while back, but had so much information that I wanted to share, hence this taking some time. Capri is a postcard destination and just as unbelievable as the Pinterest images. I did a LOT in my short time there, and I hope this guide helps for anyone planning a trip to Capri!

Highlands, NC City Guide

Hey y’all! I’m officially back in Dallas and to the grind. I’d been away for a week or so, and one of the places I visited was Highlands, North Carolina. I went with my family and fully embraced vacation and this beautiful town. Highlands is a popular summer spot – especially for people from Atlanta and Louisiana – and a welcomed break from the Texas heat. Like, refreshing to be…

Banff City Guide

I'm a little behind on this post, but there's no way I'd forget to wrap up the trip I took to Banff, Alberta! Banff is in the middle of a national park and it's seriously unreal. The beauty of the mountains, trees, and the color of Lake Louise's water alone makes this town look straight out of a fairy tale. It's a great mix of the outdoors, nice people, a relaxing atmosphere, and pure beauty. I felt like I was in the Swiss Alps, minus the travel time to Europe.

Positano City Guide

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post ever since the moment I got back to the states from visiting the Amalfi Coast. I’m so excited to tell you all about my experience in Positano specifically, and spill all the details on all the things to see and do in Positano, Italy. It only takes ONE photo of the BEAUTIFUL city to get the city on your bucket list because let’s…

San Montano Resort & Spa Review // Ischia, Italy

Of all the places I visited during my most recent trip to Italy, Ischia is the spot that truly left me craving for more time. The island and all it’s wonderfulness was such a pleasant surprise and breath of fresh air. To be completely honest, I hadn’t even heard of Ischia before this trip. While planning and figuring out logistics of the trip, my room mate (who I met up…

Parco Dei Principi Hotel Review // Sorrento, Italy

During my time in Sorrento (2 nights) I stayed at Hotel Parco Dei Principi, which I found pretty last minute on Booking.com. I didn’t do much research for hotels in Sorrento, but this place looked nice – I was most excited about the views though! The hotel is located on the side of a cliff and the views are just UNREAL. Location Sorrento isn’t a very big town (which I love!),…

Drinks at JK Place Capri

I read somewhere that JK Place Capri was a good place to grab drinks while visiting the island, so I added it to the list. Another one of my favorite things to do while traveling the nice hotels in the area – I love seeing how they’re laid out and decorated. And plus, I’ll never turn down a fancy glass of wine on a cozy couch with a swoon-worthy view!…

Rose at Caesar Augustus in Anacapri

One of our Australian friends told us that while in Capri, we HAD to head up to Anacapri and have lunch by the pool at Hotel Caesar Augustus. So naturally, I added it to the forever-growing list of things I wanted to eventually do and see in Capri. And despite the fact that I had 2 full days and 3 nights on the island, I can’t wait to go BACK…

How To Make The Most Of Your Capri Boat Tour

If you’re planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast (or just Capri Island), then you have GOT to go on a private boat tour during your trip. In my opinion, it is well worth the money! In fact, my time on the boat was probably my absolute favorite thing I did throughout my entire trip. And like I mentioned in my last post, I went on 4 different boat tours…

Boating in Capri, Italy

Y'all, boats are my JAM. I can't think of any activity that makes me happier than a sunny boat ride. I mean, that's literally THE LIFE. #Confessions. No joke, I went on 4 different boat rides during my most recent trip to the Amalfi coast. Because y'all, it's just too good and if I had more time I probably would have done a few more. Not only do I love seeing all the beauty of the coast, but I just LOVE being on a boat in general. The only thing that would have made my Italian boat rides more enjoyable would have been a set of XL speakers for some sunshine jams :)
