I don’t know if I’ve ever been so excited to plan spring and summer date nights mainly because it feels like forever since I’ve *planned a look*. We’re in a new state, a new city, the weather has been beautiful and most importantly, we’re figuring out this new normal – all reasons to celebrate, right?! And even though lots of restaurants and public places are still shut down or limiting the number of people that can be in a certain place at the same time, D and I are planning some very fun date nights – even if it means just walking to a local restaurant to pick up food and a cocktail to go. Because IDK about y’all, but I NEED a reason to dress up!

I’ve been shopping less than usual lately, but I had to check out Norstrom’s site this week to see all the cute new spring and summer looks available. And can we talk about their sales lately?! Because wow, up to 60% off yes please! They have some amazing options for date night that I think work really well for this weird in-between situation we’re all living in right now where we might be going out, but we’re also still spending lots of time at home. Like this SUPER CUTE dress I’m obsessed with. The material is comfortable, but it’s still dressy enough if we go out and about for our date night. Or if you want a pop of color, this yellow option is casual enough for home, yet it would work perfectly at a restaurant, too!

I feel like this dress is the perfect combination of dressy and casual. The babydoll style and pockets make it super comfortable to hang out in at home, but it still definitely feels appropriate if we decide to head out to a restaurant. Plus, who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?! I’m also a big fan of the square neckline – a 90s throwback trend I’m very on board with!

Nordstrom always has lots of great options, so check them out and get a few date nights on your calendar, even if that’s a picnic in your backyard or cocktail night in your own kitchen (something we’ve been doing and is fun!). Knowing I have a reason to put myself together and get out of sweats for a bit is honestly what’s keeping me going right now, so I highly recommend it!
