4 Casual Options for the 4th of July This Year

brighton butler wearing free people blue check swing dress with white platform sandals, fourth of July outfit idea

Anyone else feel like their 4th of July outfit is one of the most important of all holiday looks? LOL, this might sound silly but I always find myself wanting to really nail my 4th of July outfit. It can be kinda tricky because you want to be patriotic but not TOO patriotic. And then it’s usually super hot so you’re trying to look cute while also being practical. So many things to consider, am I right?! Well, this year I decided to put some serious forethought into it, and even though most big firework shows and events might be canceled, I still fully plan on going all out and wanted to give y’all some inspo if you plan on it too!

I put together a combination of looks together so no matter what you’re doing to celebrate, there should be an option for you. From a denim look to a few flowy and cool (temperature-wise) options, I hope y’all find this helpful!

Look #1

First, how freaking cute is this set?! I’m a sucker right now for a high waist skirt and crop top combo. The dark blue and white in this pattern make it super appropriate for the 4th of July but I had to add a red touch with this scrunchie and this purse. I don’t want to toot my own horn here, but I think this is such a good example of red, white and blue with a punch of style!

Outfit Details: White Top (wearing size XS) // Levi’s Wedgie Jeans (fit true to size, I had to cut mine to make them shorter) // Platform Sandals (old – similar version here) // Gucci bag // Sunglasses // Red Hair Tie

Look #2

This look is for my fellow denim lovers out there! You can never go wrong with a good pair of jeans in my opinion, especially for a small backyard celebration. This pair is a favorite of mine right now – the high waist is EVERYTHING and goes perfectly with this white smocked crop top. To add a little something-something, I went for these platform espadrille sandals – the height dresses it up a bit! And then I left the same punch of red from look #1 because I’m obsessed.

Look #3

I think blue might be my favorite color for summer? This shade is perfect for that patriotic vibe and I love the buttons going down the front. It has a really loose, flowy fit and breathes really well so if your forecast calls for a super hot 4th of July, this option is perfect for you! You can dress it up a bit more with these wedges or go more casual with these white slides. And my woven bag I’ve had for years now! It’s perfect with any summer outfit and is definitely worth buying to always have a go-to crossbody for this time of year.

Look #4

I have one more blue and white dress option for y’all and I hope you love it as much as me! Smocked dresses and tops are really on-trend this summer so I wanted to be sure I checked that box for you guys with a good dress option. This material is super light and the cut of the dress is very flattering. I added a bit of red too with these earrings to hit all three patriotic colors in one outfit without going over the top!
