So here’s the deal. You NEED these jeans. Period, the end. You might freak out over the price….they’re pricey. But I’m telling you – they’re AMAZING. So if you can stomach spending that much on a pair of jeans, then get yourself some. I’m obsessed and as you’ve probably noticed, I wear them ALL the time.

If any of you follow Ashley Brooke Designs (the adorable lady who makes these sassy mugs) on instagram, then you probably saw that there was a big “takeover” week going on last week. Each day a different blogger/creative took over her instagram! My day was last Monday and I just wanted to share the photos with you now that it’s all said and done.

Love this shirt worn alone, but it would also look so cute peeping out under a chic blazer or solid sweater – a nice little pop of pattern ;) I love finding ways to bring my summery-ish pieces into the next season.

I know that all these things put together in one outfit looks super summery, but most of these pieces are actually super versatile and are great basics for the transitional season. For instance, these shorts would be super cute with a baggy sweater and booties!

Shirt: Left of Center ‘Palome Tank’ via Anthropologie // Watch: Kate Spade Gramercy Grand // Gold Chandelier Earrings: Stella + Dot Devon Chandeliers // Scarf: Love Quotes Knotted Tassel Scarf in White // Shorts: Free People Shark Bite Denim Cut Offs // Tan Booties:  Olivia 2 open toe bootie Sandal (Nordstrom Exclusive)

Shirt: Left of Center ‘Palome Tank’ via Anthropologie // Watch: Kate Spade Gramercy Grand // Simple Gold Drop Earrings: Gorjana Taner Dagger Earrings // Distressed Denim: Citizens of Humanity ‘Premium Vintage – Racer’ skinny jeans in Cosby (also love this pair!) // Shoes: Dee Keller Erin Wedge (similar here)

And these jeans are literally my 2014 obsession. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve worn these babies A TON since I purchased them in April (or was it May?) Regardless, they are a legit investment and I’m a huge fan! They’re the same ones I wore in this instagram from yesterday:

I can’t believe it’s already Friday. This week. I can’t even. So crazy! In fact, the last few weeks! I feel like I’ve been trying to catch my breath since April but have ended up just treading water, trying to stay afloat all the while doing my best to maintain my cool and stay prepared too! Needless to say, I’ve been quite the scatter brain as of late. But I guess that’s nothing new. (Ha!) And to mix things up a bit, I’m headed to Milan in just a few hours. OMG. I know. I don’t even know what I packed. The funny thing is that when I get back into the US, I don’t come home. I get straight off the plane in NYC and stay there for three weeks. How did I pack for all this? I didn’t. I guess I’ll just wing it or figure it out as I go along? No time to fret over it now.

But the main (slash ONLY) thing that has been on my mind lately is ll things logistics, EDI, warehousing, cancel dates and all the like. All day. All night. It’s literally all I’ve been doing for the past week or so. Hence the lack of writing and decreased engagement on social media.

Right now is one of busiest times for me (being that one of my main responsibilities is supply chain management) because all our goods are currently being processed through our warehouse and sent out to vendors (for fall 14). It sounds somewhat straightforward. But let me tell you, it’s not. Not in the least bit! And I’m new at all this so I feel like every day is a crash coarse. Sink or swim!

But I secretly love the rush – I just hope I don’t screw anything up too badly. ;) speaking of, I should go double check everything before heading to the airport. Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Off to Milan I go! Wish me luck :) oh and by the way, I’m blogging from my iPhone still. So yeah, things might be a little less profesh. Hope that’s alright! Xo

I can’t handle this awkward time of year. It’s the end of Summer and I know that Summer clothes are 100% still acceptable and appropriate, but Fall is just oh-so-close. I don’t know about you but I’m SO OVER my summer clothes (aside from my party skirts though, of course!).  And when I go shopping or look around online, all I see is stuff that’s fur-trimmed, long sleeved and just all in all makes me sweat to just look at it. I’m excited for Fall and ready to put away my Summer clothes, but these 100 degree days are screaming that Summer is still here and probably will be here for a few more weeks (at least in Texas). I have a few more super summer-y outfits to post and then I’m hoping to shift more into the transitional-stage -look (however I have a feeling the temperature will dictate otherwise – we shall see!)

I wore this little number above to brunch while I was in Austin a few weeks ago. In my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with a party skirt. On a related note, I really like this party skirt-ish skirt in navy neoprene. It’s a perfect transitional piece!
