It’s been quite the month over here – to say the least. We’ve had ups, downs, highs and lows and everything in between. I took a break from instagram for SEVEN whole days – something I’ve never done for my entire Instagram existence. That might sound crazy to y’all, – to be posting so much or never having taken a consecutive break – but I don’t think I’d be alone in saying that it’s actually pretty normal (sadly) among bloggers and “social”/digital media people like myself. I’ll admit, my break wasn’t planned  but it was very necessary.

There are also a few exciting things going on between the scenes that I haven’t really been able to share with y’all yet, but am SO so SO looking forward to revealing soon. I’ve got to keep some things a surprise, right?

Since it’s been so long since I’ve done a BTD WEEKLY recap, it felt more fitting to reflect over what’s happened this past month. It was sort of fun to think about the different things that came and went and share them with y’all. So here we go! In November, I:

• Took a fun girls trip to NYC to celebrate one of my girl friend’s 30th birthday (outfits included in the round up)
• Went home for Thanksgiving and got to spend some great quality time with the family in Baton Rouge and attend my sister’s debutante ball (image of my dress in the round up!)
• endured all the craziness that is Cyber week and all it’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday madness. To be honest, I couldn’t be more thrilled that’s over; it’s always a pretty stressful week for me and just overwhelming!
• turned 27 and man oh man am I feeling OLD. Gosh, things are really starting to get REAL as I creep closer and closer to 30…yikes.
• took a 7 day break from Instagram that I hope to write about soon, but I’m not ready yet
• fell off the workout train – shoot! and I haven’t gotten back on yet. crap. It happens. Life happens. and sometimes our lofty goals don’t get reached. oh well! I’ll figure out a way to get motivated again
• got to go to Lisel’s wedding! AHH! so fun and exciting!
• wore the same 3 sweaters (this one, this one, and this one!) too many times and YES, I bought them in multiple colors (as per usual)
• embraced the velvet trend and now I’m obsessed! Did you see my velvet booties?! People have been STOPPING me to ask about them! I’m growing more and more in love each time I wear them!
