With Summer (officially) coming to an end and Fall underway, I’m finding myself becoming more and more dependent on self tanner (because other wise I look legit scary…). As such, I thought it would be fun to do a post on what I think is THE BEST tanning lotion on the market. But actually, my favorite product isn’t even a lotion (I think those smell yucky anyway lol), but it’s a ‘mousse’ which is actually a lot easier to apply if you ask me!

The Best Tanning Lotion You’ll Ever Try

Of ALL the sunless tanning option out there, I’ve been 157% loyal to the one I use and don’t think I’ll ever change (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. right?!) So I’m sure you’re wondering (slash annoyed at how long it’s taking me to get to my point ha!), which one is my favorite? EASY. I’m OBSESSED with all things St. Tropez but specifically their classic tanning mousse.

Y’all, this stuff is basically my BFF not only for the cooler (slash less sun) months of the year, but I pretty much use it YEAR round. I first discovered this stuff about 6 years ago and have been hooked ever since.

Gotta Get That Natural Glow Yo

I’ve tried a few other sunless tanning options such as spray tans, tan wipes and the likes, but I keep coming back to St. Tropez because I think it’s the BEST product out there for getting that natural glow I’m looking for. I used to spend a lot more time in the sun – either at the beach or laying out by the pool; But it’s just not really a part of my lifestyle anymore. I don’t have a go-to pool these days (since I moved out of an apartment), “spring break” beach trips aren’t really a thing in the “adulting” world, and my time is just all around a little more limited. All that to say, I’ve been relying much more (if not solely) on St. Tropez for any and all color.

Plus, I’ve started  getting facials on a regular basis a few months ago and talking to my esthetician each month serves as yet another reminder that sun is just HORRIBLE for my skin. I find that I need a continual reminder because being tan is something I REALLY love and if it’s up to me, I would NEVER wear sunscreen. In fact, I didn’t really wear it at all until this past year (and still, I only wear like 15-30 spf at best).

Anyways, I love how natural it looks and it’s super easy to apply. The only drawback for me is that it sometimes gets on my sheets? But maybe that’s just because I sweat in my sleep? (don’t judge) Whatever the case, it’s 100% worth it in order for me to have a little more color (I’m naturally pretty pale!).

If you’re Going To Use It

If you’re considering using it, be sure to get the application mitt for when you apply it. I use the (original) classic bronzing mousse and have the 1-hour “Express” tanning stuff. I use them both interchangeably and honestly can’t tell the difference between the two, but just LOVE the look that all their products give. I’m curious to try some of their more “gradual” or in-the-shower options too!
