The Start of My Dallas Restaurants Guide

I’ve been wanting to put together a Dallas guide for months now, but just didn’t ever set my mind to it or move it to the top of my ever-evolving to-do list. But after speaking to a friend coming to visit Dallas and asking for recommendations, I decided it was time to make my “Dallas to-do” happen.

Slowly but surely, over the course of time and through fun little outfit posts like this, I’m going to build up my Dallas guide (maybe I’ll switch up my approach to speed it along but for now, this is how I’m starting!)

The truth is, I’m a major creature of habit. I like my things and I don’t switch it up too often unless I have to. Unfortunately, this isn’t a very interesting way to live, but it’s just how I function when I’m in my “default mode.” I guess you could summarize this mentality by the well-known cliche – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I know what I like and – especially when it comes to food – I’d rather not take the chance of having an unsatisfactory meal. And I usually crave certain dishes from places I’ve already been or know that I love already. Makes sense, right?!

So in reality, I don’t have a very extensive list of places I like to go. And I’m not usually that excited (relatively speaking) to try new things because I just love what I love. BUT I’ve been trying to be more adventurous and get around to more Dallas spots in hopes of actually trying it all so I can choose my faves and share them with y’all! But for starters, I’ll just share the spots I’m already addicted to ;)

Favorite Dallas Lunch Spot: “Dive” in Snyder Plaza

One of my absolute FAVORITE lunch spots to grab a quick lunch with girlfriends is DIVE in Snyder Plaza. Next to Zoes and La Madeline’s (which are both chains so they don’t really count), this is literally one of my favorite spots! To be honest, I’ve only ever gotten ONE thing on the menu, but everything looks yummy and it’s just MY kind of place.

They have AMAZING salads (to which you can easily add fresh seafood or other protein) and wraps – and it’s all relatively healthy. Also, you order and pay and THEN sit down, which I always prefer when it comes to lunch (quick and easy).

The Hearts of Palm Salad = DELISH + FRESH

I always get the “hearts of palm salad” and YOU GUYS, it’s AMAZING. It’s so fresh and the lettuce is always tossed in the (light) dressing to perfection! It really is such a treat :) And I ordered it for my mom last time she was visiting and now she’s hooked too!
